Good Morning!

Prayers This Morning!

Prayers this morning to our dear friend Hollyhock ('Hooly'), and her family with Baby Celeste. May you find peace and healing in G*d, and friendship and love from us, forever ;-)

Continuing prayers for Jen and her wonderful husband Gerry, Gram and her friend in Florida, and all my kind readers here.
You, 'Lucky Lurkers'--put on the coffee!

  3. Surfie, doing well today just fearful regarding seeing a urologist tomorrow. Almost positive my catheter will need replacement. "I can't stand pain, it hurts me!"--Daffy Duck. Was happy to read about your niece-- Prayers sent for Katie and David. Thanks for asking.

  4. I'll pray for you, Phoo! Tell me how it goes!

I've been having tremendous problems with my blood sugar; I took a shower this morning after Pollywog left the pond here and my blood sugar bottomed out and I almost fainted--and I ate a good breakfast, too! It happened over the weekend, also...

That, coupled with my med changes the last couple months, and I'm going crazy. One minute, I feel like I want to slap someone, or I'm real tired, or I'm so depressed I don't want to go on--and then I'll feel like my normal happy self again, etc. I don't know what's going on; I'll have some bloodwork done in Sept. and see what it shows--this is nutz!

People must wonder who the heck I am!

Eva, where's my cat???? (scowl, glancing around covetously) Surfie, did your boy settle in for the fall quarter okay? Paget, how's the baby and your daughter? You get over this hellacious cold? (I think we have, jeez, it sure sapped me!)

  5. Phooey, I had catheters when I was younger. No fun. You will be in my prayers.

Froggy, hope you feel better soon with the blood sugar and med problems. You are in my prayers, too.

Mike is settled in, has all his books, and is ready to go. His only problem is that someone broke into his room while he was here for summer and stole a lot of things. Whoever it was apparently wasn't too bright. They took dishes and things he bought at the 99 cent store and left the expensive kitchen equipment.

    It's always something!

  6. An update for you dear friends on my daughter Valerie. She is in hospital and they are continuing to do tests. I don't know why they would do a spinal tap. Her BP is coming down slightly and migrane also. Drs changed meds and are watching her. SIL is there with her and baby. I am in the right place for now. I was on the road in 15 mins!
The prayers that went up lifted a weight off me.

Phooey, I would be honored to pray for your needs. You are such a blessing to me. A man of faith and a peacemaker. Blessed are the peacemakers.

  7. Hooly, so many prayers coming from me to you, your daughter, SIL and their baby. The docs will figure out what's going on and then all will be well. I know it. It's just a mystery now and that makes everyone feel helpless.

Phooey, I'm well known in my doctor's office for shrieking BEFORE anything happens. I can't seem to help it. The anticipation of possible pain is more than I can deal with. I try to keep it down to a moderate yelp and am sometimes successful. Believe me, I understand your low threshold for pain!

Froggy, I miss Puffin and the other furballs soooo much! It has been a strange 2 wks of no cat interaction. Of course, the baby interaction has been wonderful, not to mention how much I enjoy being with my father. I love that we agree on politics and can go on and on about the sorry state of affairs now. It would be awful if he were on the "other" side.

Please, please be careful. I don't want to think about you fainting and lying on the floor with no Pollywog around. (not that I want you to have these problems even when she is around). Hang in there and take things slowly. We love you no matter how you're feeling!

  9. I guess everyone has gone to bed. That's what I get for living on the West Coast. I'm wishing everyone a good night's sleep, and a better day tomorrow.

  10. Hooly--I think they do a spinal tap because a severe headache can be a symptom of meningitis or encephalitis--very serious illnesses that babies are prone to get with close contact. It must be caught early; since she's taking care of Celeste, they don't want her to catch it either (if that was why she had the test.) That's all I can think of for that one... (And I think you would've already notified if she had it--they diagnose it quickly, if they suspect it.) Let us know, hon!

  11. Eva--you're so sweet and caring! You always make my day so special! Love you, hon!

'Nite Phoo--let us know how tomorrow goes; we'll all be praying for you. It'll be fine; we have to have our Phoo well-taken care of!
