Prayers for our dear Hikergal:
As she travels for the last time on this earth to see her mother, let her know that this is not the last time she will see her--they will be together always, as G*d intended.
Hikergal has given her mother a wonderful, large successful family--the bedrock of her world will be the bedrock of her heaven.
Though you will miss her corporeal being on earth, she will still be here; just hike the lovely trails you hike and you will find her everywhere.
Talk to her. She is there already! ;-)

It's awful that you have this long, long drive, Hikergal. Too much time to think. I had a cross country flight when my Mom died and all I did was cry. It's the cycle of life, but knowing that doesn't make it easier. We love you and are praying for you and your family.
