I got some worrisome news yesterday when the vet called with Puffin & Bambu's bloodwork results. Well, good & worrisome.
First the good: the Puffin's blood was perfect. Not a problem to be found.
The worrisome news is that Bambu has elevated protein levels. The vet wanted my permission to do an additional test which should tell us why these levels are elevated. Luckily, we didn't have to go back to the office since they had some blood left over to do the test already. It could be a not serious problem or it could be a cancer. Results won't be back until Monday, so now we have to wait over the weekend and wonder.
I choose to be optimistic. How could the Puffin deal if something is seriously wrong with his brother? You should see the two of them now, sound asleep in my bed, mashed together. Sigh.
What a face on that little froggy!

I think I'll listen to some music selections now.
Oh no..... oh I'm so sad...my little guys... I'll say some prayers for all 4 of you! Tell me as soon as you hear..!
ReplyDeleteEva--Did you check him for diabetes? I know that can make you dump protein, and older cats seem a bit prone to it....
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Good catch, Froggy. I'll ask the vet when she calls. Given the amount I'm shelling out for these tests, they better be testing for everything!
