Yikes! What a picture! Even when you don't feel well, you can put something so perfectly descriptive up. Just rest and don't worry about us. As Gloria says, we'll hang on until you two get back. Just get well.
"Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers." Father! You have blessed me beyond my ability to speak of the wonders You have given me this past year. Why You added years to my life? I don't know...this I do know... You put me in this community of these dear ones seeking peace and Your Acceptance. I plead You hear their requests. Lord, heal my friends! Amen.
Phooey, your prayer is beautiful and touched my heart. So glad that you are a Pond Friend!
Eva, Surfie, Gloria.. hope ya'll are feeling better. I coughed the other day til my ribs hurt when I coughed. Froggy and I were lucky to not get the sore throat. Still coughing some and tired.
Eva, Thanks for reminder on Bronco's game. We are waiting for it. Bought bag of popcorn to munch on.
Phooey, you are a treasure! :) What a heart-felt prayer! :)
I would also like to send my prayers and well-wishes to Froggy and Wog and Surfie and Eva.
Gloria; you stay well, you hear? ;)
I've been running around today, doing my usual Saturday shopping and errands. Tonight I'm going to dinner at my parent's house as my uncle is in town. I'm so thankful to still have my dad and uncle as they are the ripe old ages of 86 and 87. Mom too, of course! She is the 'spring chicken' of the bunch at age 85.;)
have a good evening friends, and I sure hope you are all doing better tomorrow!
Just a quick note to say, Paget, you are so blessed to have your parents and uncle still with you. I wish so much that my Mom was still around. I know how my father is enjoying his first great grandchild and it would be so special if the two of them could have shared this. Well, I can't change it.
Eva and Paget, I think that too. You are blessed to have them. I so miss my Mom and Dad. My Mom came from a large family but the next generation had small families. My daughter adored my parents and they adored her. It makes me sad that they didn't live to see their 10 wonderful great grand kids. My Mom loved babies.
How we doin' this mornin'? We got snow here yesterday. So did Frog and Wog get snow in Seattle too? It sure does make every thing look pretty. Have no intention of going anywhere today. 32 degrees.
It's cold here in our neck of the woods too. (Actually, the desert) 27 degrees, brr! Snow is predicted tonight and tomorrow. I hope it holds off long enough for me to go to inlaws house and pick up chicken bones from their yard. Yeah, Chicken bones! Crazy, huh? FIL throws out bones for the birds to pick on. Hubby and I are wondering what type of birds he is trying to attract? Only ones I can think of are magpies and crows; both of which I sure don't want in my yard! Our little dog will be visiting them next weekend, and dogs and chicken bones don't mix well. :(
FIL has always been an interesting character. When our kids were young, he would hang their castaway stuffed toys, and other unusual objects on a tree in his yard. The kids thought that was quite hilarious; and when they were teenagers they'd drive by with their friends to show off the tree, as they all got a real kick out of it. ;)
That reminds me of something that used to happen around here. In a large tree next to the highway someone tied various items up in the tree. Getting that stuff up there was no small feat. Lawn chairs, trikes, bikes, toilet seats, scooters, barbeques. Seeing that junk was a real surprise. It was causing the road crews lots of extra work. They would no sooner get stuff out of the tree and it would be loaded up again with more junk. Probably high schoolers. How did they do it? We get some strong winds around here so that flying junk was a safety hazard.
Many years ago, a Publix grocery store(in this area) had a sign that read... 'Place shopping carts here'.... the sign was 20-25 ft. tall... Yep! there was a shopping cart on top of the sign! Placed there by a customer. Midnight, High School fun seekers I guess. I want my Froggy back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Howdy from Seattle..Yep it's snowing. Big fat flakes. Can't see the buildings downtown. We are up and watching football. Watching Greenbay and Giants.
Eva.. to run out of kleenex calls for an emergency trip to the store. I stocked up yesterday with kleenex and munchies (for the ball games) before snow started.
Loved the "tree" stories.
Froggy is up. We are both coughing but slowly getting better. Will check back later.
I'm up, getting ready for work. Still sick. This cold just does not want to go away. At least we're supposed to get up to the low 70's today. Take care everybody!

ReplyDeleteGet well, everybody. I'm on day 5 of this hideous cold. After I run a couple of errands, it's back to bed for me.
Phooey, that really blessed me. You are a godly and righteous man.
ReplyDeleteI felt that down to my toes, Phooey! You are, indeed, a godly man. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI had a coughing fit last night and woke up this morning with a sore neck. I must have really done a number on myself.

ReplyDeleteGood night, ladies.

Hitting the sack soon myself. Night, all!
