'Woggy to the rescue! Our Internet and phone died yesterday evening... The House Computer Expert ('Wog) finally got ahold of a phone tech and fixed it! We've been fine, so don't worry. We got through the weekend--how's everyone else?
Thinking about you. Throughout the day the Lord brings to mind and heart certain people and I pray for them. You are constantly brought to mind. Love ya.
Having computer problems is so annoying. Comcast? We have had our share lately too.
Thank you, Gloria--and please forgive me for being absent so long. I don't know what happened; our phone and Internet broadband just died yesterday evening. Because the weather was bad up north, we let it go over night thinking they'd fix it. Of course they didn't--it wasn't an outtage--and The 'Wog finally got ahold of a techie to talk her through it at about noon, whew! I miss you guys!
What kind of a weekend did you have? (My back is better than it was...)
That is exactly what happens to our connection every time we have stormy wet weather. Our connection is sporatic. We had Comcast come and they replaced all. We don't loose TV just internet.
Finally! I have the Courage to ask Froggy this question(it has been a heavy bourbon on my heart)!
The answer to my question Is it yes or is it no
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour On the bedpost overnight If Woggie says don't chew it Do you swallow it in spite Can you catch it on your tonsils Can you heave it left and right Does your chewing gum lose its flavour On the bedpost overnight?
Oh good. There you are. I was worried this morning and then I had to go out. I hate when something happens to my internet connection. I feel so helpless. Isn't it funny how dependent you can get on something you never needed before?
It's a gorgeous day here in SoCal as it always is once the rain has passed. The cats are super happy with the amount of sun today! Even the horrible sound of the gardener's leaf blower can't bother them. Bothers me, though. I can't hear the TV or radio over it.
Eva, we must live in the noisiest apartment in Seattle. It's the trash truck. It's maintenance remodeling something..bang, clatter, sawing, hammer, hammer. It's the fire alarm or car alarm.
And yes, Eva, we have a leaf blower! We also have carpet cleaners that are worse than the leaf blowers because they have the motor running for at least an hour. And all these sounds echo back and forth on the buildings.
You have to be careful of "pancake" kitties. We had one that crawled under the bed covers ...and lay there so still and so flat. Sometimes "pancake" kitties can get sat upon ...and even flatter.
Frog and Wog, I go into a panic when my internet goes down! I can live with cell phone interruption, but not the internet.
So glad you two sisters are doing better. Do you think the weather has anything to do with back problems, etc.?
It was a terrifying drive into work this morning. It was raining so hard that I couldn't see the car in front of me and had to pull over a couple of times. The lightning was awesome, and there were some thunderclaps so strong they shook the building! My 25 minute drive took over an hour. Just glad I made it safely, that there were no tornados, and the rain is calming down. We've been in a drought and really need the rain, but this morning's drive terrified me. Guess I'll have to get used to it. It's that time of year here in fly-over country.
Wow! Is that different from here or what? I remember when I still lived in Georgia having to drive in torrential rain and pulling to the side of the road. I don't think I could do it now, I'm so unused to it. I'm glad you made it safely!
Yep, last night the Internet and the phone died, but the TV was still on. I thought everything would be fine by morning. It wasn't. I called Comcast from cell phone, but couldn't get a person to talk to. Finally managed to contact someone, and they transferred me to the technical person.
Guess what I had to do to fix the problem? Unplug the modem and the router. Count to ten, and plug the power cords back. Took another minute for programs to reload, and voila... everything worked! WOG SAVES THE DAY!
Rinka dinka do Where is our Phoo? He sings and he dances He tells jokes he enhances Happy he makes us to be at The Pond The Phoo is the one of whom we are fond Rinka dinka do We loves our Phoo
I'm smiling... and I'm chewing a bigger piece of gum! Will try to blow bubbles. Shucks. It's not bubble gum, but I'll try for a couple bubbles anyway .. while I'm singing that bedpost song. "doodle doodly do..."
Woggie, really! I'm going to bed now. Thank you! That was fun! When Froggy reads this stuff....she is going to kick our..... Anyway, Goodnight sweet ladies!
HAHAHAHA Nobody is in trouble (well, Phoo always is a leetle bit...) but I can't do without my cat stories, poems and prayers--and the best howdy-do on the 'Net. Eva, mail me a sun bunny--they sound too cute! Surfie, be careful driving; I sure miss the thunder, but it's raining now. I could do without the damp cold and gray...
Yes, Gloria, I've had terrible spasms, so I've had to lay down a lot. I'm slowly getting back to normal after my first foray into Medicaid. Where's Paget?
