Good to see Pond Friends here today. Froggy is draggin' around the house today, and is headed back to bed.
I spent a couple hours on buses this morning going to Sears to buy new blue jeans for school. It's my treat for finishing the first quarter of classes. Otherwise I am sulking today because summer classes start tomorrow morning. A couple more days off would have been nice. I'll drop back by in a little while.
Froggy, I don't want you to be dragging! Consider yourself Pond-Wise hugged, prayed for and SMOOCHED. And that is the cutest of cute kitties!
Phoo, you know what a huge NCIS fan I am, but I'm also an OKC Thunder fan. If we don't beat the Miami Heat tonight, I fear we won't recover. So I'll be clicking back and forth between NCIS and The Game.
I worked from 7-6 today. Will probably work longer hours tomorrow. My boss turned over 3 more of her tasks to me today. She has been seriously overworked for years! All of these things aren't hard; they are just new to me. And I'm putting all the cumbersome record-keeping for each new deal onto a spread sheet that the company owner can access all day, every day, and be up to on what's going on.
So I'll be up late tonight watching the game, and plan to arrive at work tomorrow between 6:30 and 7:00. I'd rather get there early than work too late because I'm a morning person.
Will check in again sometime tomorrow! Love the Pond and all my Pond Friends.
Wow, Surfie! It sounds as though you came to this job as an answer to a prayer from someone else, not just your own. I'm so glad to hear your boss recognized your worth right off the bat. Even if that does mean you have work coming out of your ears!
We've been watching & rooting for the Thunder, too. Last game was wild at the end, but they just couldn't pull it out. Fingers crossed for tonight.
Surfie...a spreadsheet. That's wonderful. I love spreadsheets. And they are so useful. I think our Froggy needs a big "wind-up" key. I will try to get her outside for a walk this weekend...if the weather is nice.
Has everyone been hearing on the news about the debris washing up on Washington shores? It's the debris from the Japanese tsunami. Some interesting things coming ashore. We don't see things in downtown Seattle because we are way inland from the ocean.
I think I heard something about that. Can't remember where I read it, but there was something about remnants of a house washing up. I just found it remarkable that debris is still washing up from an event that happened last year. Amazing!
I thought I would check in and say hello. We've been out of town. Friday was my birthday, and we decided to go west (while Gloria came east over our way!) and visit our daughter and SIL in Anacortes. On Saturday, we took a ferry ride to Friday Harbor, in the San Juan islands. It was great even though the weather didn't cooperate! Rain, rain, and more rain! Daughter said famous people hang out over there (probably not in the rain) and she hoped we'd see some. I had more fun meeting a local author who writes paranormal novels. She knows one of my favorite authors, Patricia Briggs, who is very popular over here, as lots of her books take place in our humble surroundings. :)
Froggy, so sorry you have been feeling so poorly! :(
Wog, I've also heard about the debris washing up on the WA shores. We plan to go to Hawaii in November, to celebrate our 40th anniversary. People say that starting in January they expect lots of Japanese debris to wash up over there too.
Surfie, I really enjoyed hearing about your job review! They are lucky to have you! It seems like your move to Oklahoma was meant to be!
Phooey, my hubby also likes NCIS, CSI Miami, and Las Vegas, etc. etc. I call them the dead shows because someome is always murdered. I think the worst one to watch while I'm eating dinner is Bones. ;)
Tomorrow is another busy day, so I will sign off.
Goodnight, my friends; sleep tight, my friends; God bless you, everyone; Nighty-Nite! :)
That's what happened to my sofa/chairs and carpet!
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the pee and poop!
DeleteOh, but your Kitty was so happy tearing up the furniture.
DeleteI need a Frog or Wog!
ReplyDeleteThat is just too cute for words!
ReplyDeleteWhere are you, Froggy? No response to the pic of Puffin I sent you and I KNOW you love little Puff. Are you feeling badly? Are you in pain?
Where is 'Wog? Studying hard?
Oh well, just us Eva. Hey! Surfie! It's NCIS night!
DeleteGolly gosh, gee whilikers where is everyone?
DeleteI'm going to my corner pout and whine.
Hey Eva! Wanna play pick-up-sticks?jacks? or tiddlywinks?
Eva, I asked Froggy. Said that she loves the picture of you and little Puffin. She just doesn't feel good today.
DeleteThanks, 'Wog. Tell her to rest and come back refreshed.
DeletePhooey, I'm not so good at jacks. Tiddlywinks or pick-up sticks are definite options :)

Okay Surfie, you get a pass. Took a new sleeping pill today, need to go to bed.
DeleteGood night all.
