Have a nice summer, Pond Friends!

  1. Good morning frogs. That watermelon looks good. We haven't had much luck with watermelon this year. A pain-free and happy weekend to all.

  2. Froggy, how are you feeling this morning? Hope you feel better than yesterday.

Phoo, I've given up buying watermelon. The south of OK is a big watermelon growing area, but this year they are mushy and not so sweet. I do love 'em, but not spending any more money on 'em unless the grocer gives me a free taste.

It's hot here. As usual for July. I had lunch with my brother and SIL today. Love them! Now I'm home doing laundry, cleaning house, etc.

    Love to all Ponders!

    1. Please tell Magdalene that I am praying for her. I know it may not mean anything to her, but she does to me.

  3. Hi sweet Froggy. How are you today? Froggy, I had a thought about the pain thing. Do you feel worse when the weather is changing? I am thinking about barometric pressure. It really does have a effect on joint pain. We have a lot of those kinds of changes here in the PNW. It is only a thought. Another thing is low vitamin D3. Me and ALL your Ponders care about you.

I truly do not know where the day has gone. I spent way to much time on the computer tryingto get the best possible deal on vitamins and supplements. While it was hot I went out to pick raspberries which put me in need of a cool shower and a nap. I am planning on going back to eastern Washington next Saturday. Val asked me to do some special baking for the garndaughter that has PKU. So this week I will be baking and freezing stuff. It is much easier for me to get the job done in my own kitchen.

I looked at WND and Instapundit last night. WND looked good but I didn't get Instapundit. Am looking to expand my info sites.

I have a little time to myself this evening so I will be watching my favorite ministry online.

    1. Been a slow day. Couldn't get anything done around the house. Felt like napping all day. Took bus to store, but every bus I rode had a re-route because of road work. I ended up walking more than I wanted.

Gloria, I take everyday - vitamin/mineral, vit B12, C, D. Could probably take more D in this part of the country. I do think the weather changes can make joints ache.

Gloria, take a look at Canada Free Press. I don't read much politics, but I find the Canadian view is very interesting.

What can they do for PKU? I had to look it up. Are there medications or therapy that can control the problems?

    2. Wog, not a lot can be done for PKU at this time. It is pretty rare so not a lot of money goes into research. Mainly it is controlled with diet. This is where I can help. I am a pretty good baker.

    3. Yes, Gloria, the weather does affect my muscle that hurt. My joints don't hurt, as a rule. Just all my muscles. You all are so nice to ask.... now I'm crying again......

  5. Did you hear that Froggy? We all love you. Rest well, my Sweet Sister.
Good night all. Think I will fall asleep in front of TV this evening. A fan is keeping me cool.

  6. Sunday Morning in Seattle.
We are starting out with cool and clouds. I got up but feel like dropping right back in bed. Have homework today, so no napping. What is everyone doing on this beautiful Sunday?

Did you see the story yesterday of the two guys who attached their lawn chairs to 350 ballons? They wanted to fly from Oregon to Montana. Personally, I would not try to fly over the the Rocky Mountains. The two men expected to float up to 18,000 feet. They came down by shooting the balloons with a BB guns.(Very high-tech operation.) And they used 800 pounds of Kool-Aid for ballast. (Great advertising for Kool-Aid!)

The scary part of this story is not that the trip only lasted 30-miles before landing. The scary part is that they want to do this trick over Iraq!

  7. It's sweltering hot today, supposed to be 100 every day this week. I got my utility bill yesterday. Was scared it would be sky high, but it was actually $10 less than normal. Guess it helps to keep my apartment at 80 when I'm gone to work. I just cool the place down when I go to sleep because I can't sleep in the heat.

Had breakfast with my brother, sister, and SIL this morning. Then I went to the grocery store so I'll have food next week. Made a fruit salad to take to my sister's house this afternoon. She has a swimming pool. We're gonna swim, and grill some burgers.

Froggy, I hope you feel better today. You are in my prayers every day. I haven't seen or emailed with Magdalene since we had dinner a while back. Am going to try to get the four Okie Girls together soon: Magdalene, Saguni, Montanabound, and yours truly.

    Feel better Froggy!

    1. Hi Surfie,
Froggie will be on later today. Stayed up late; sleeping in.

Good that you have A/C or you would be suffering. I always check the weather to see what day it will be cooler. A visit with family and a dip in the pool should be fun.

Hi from all of us to the Okie girls when you see 'em.

  8. It shouldn't be too hot here today (supposedly), just in the low 80's. I always say I won't check the weather report and then I do anyway, even though it usually is wrong.

Gonna be a slow day, mostly inside doing the usual Sunday cleaning. Later this afternoon, we're getting together with a friend we haven't seen in awhile and going out to eat together. All very low key.

Froggy, here's my usual: take it easy. My main hope and prayer is for you to have days on end without pain. In the meantime, stay in bed if you're hurting. I think sleep is always a help. If you're doing a lot of it, your body needs it.

Puffin & Bambu send purrs and cuddles!
