Let's try this again... I finally got a good nights' sleep! Eva, kiss Auntie Froggy's boys for me! Phoo, you okay? Gloria, how's hubs mouth? Did he heal up well? You still cold, Paget? I'm so glad Kaniah is doing so well--yay! Surfie, try and let me know about Mag, would you?
Anybody else watching the playoffs? Seattle's in the basement and Denver and Green Bay blew it, so I don't know who to root for. The Giants are better than I thought they were, San Fran likewise...
The 'Wog still has a cough, so I'm making her take it easy. We've watched some of the crappiest tv you can imagine (usually I'm on the Internet all day, so I miss most of that...) and played endless games of cards to try and amuse ourselves ('Woggy miscounts her score cards--always in her favor!--and I out-and-out cheat LOL) We play cutthroat Mille Bornes at the drop of a 'shut up and deal' HA!)
I never thought I'd say that the dentist appt was the best part of the day, but it was. On my way home, my car overheated. That made me freak out. Called AAA, got towed to my dealership where I had been planning to get something done. Sigh. Waiting now to hear from them about what happened and what it's going to cost. The fact that I kept coughing and sniffling didn't help things. I hope they call after Joe gets home. I never understand these things.
Thanks for the prayers; I really believe that helped me calm down and get a grip. :) The interview went well (one of the interviewers assured me later) I get a bit stressed when I have to convince people why I'm 'the best person for the job'. It's a weird deal all around as this is the job I've been doing for the last six months anyway. It's all complicated and PC, but I felt good about it, and I'll find out for sure at the end of the month.
Phooey you are so funny! :) I look NOTHING like Debra Paget. The only thing we have in common is the name, but thanks for the comic relief; laughing is a great stress reliever! ;)
Eva! What a bummer! So sorry about your car. I freak out too when I have car trouble. Hubby was a mechanic in a previous life, so he takes good care of my car, but you never know when something will go haywire!
Froggy, Wog, and Gloria, is it still snowing over there? We are expecting a ton of snow to drop tonight. I sure hope the weather guy is wrong. I really hate driving to work in the snow. Too many crazies out there on the roadways! (I include myself in that group!) I'm a white-knuckle driver in bad weather, and I think I should be allowed to call in for a snow day in those conditions; thus keeping the roads safe for everyone!
Ok, I think I'll sign off now. Take care everyone. :)
