Hi Eva...Nobody fell oughta bed. Just thought it was a funny pic to start the day. Glad that you enjoyed it. What's up for today's adventure?
Here's an article I found on the Internet:
Lest you thought the life of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was a nonstop fairy tale of posh parties, gratis fashion and domestic bliss with Prince William, think again. Even duchesses can't escape a bit of family drama, according to new reports that Kate has gotten a bit of a demotion in regards to royal etiquette.
The Telegraph reports that Queen Elizabeth II has released a newly updated version of something called the Order of Precedence, which lists the rank of each member of the British royal family. (Sort of like a royal slambook?)
I posted this article from school, and I was in a hurry. There was so much more to the story. It got really silly-sounding.
There were people that Kate had to curtsey to when Prince William was present. And there were people that Kate had to curtsey to when her Prince was not present. And then.. do you believe this.. some of the people that Kate had to curtsey to without the Prince... They had to curtsey to her ..if Prince William were present.
I am so confused, but then I don't have to curtsey to anyone, so I'm not going to worry about it until the Queen is scheduled for tea at our home.
Good afternoon all. Frog and Wog, can you believe the gloom and rain we have endured this week?
My son was asked to be an usher in a friends wedding. It's in August. I thought I would help him begin to get together whatever he might need as clothing. Must be low key and casual. Just white dress shirt, tie and black dress pants. Easy. I was looking at the announcement - very cute and hand made. But here is the unusual thing - Tuesday, August 14th at 2:27. Odd day of the week and odd time of day. Went to my calendar to check. It's VJ Day. I am so curious to find out more.
Hi Gloria.. That is an unusual time for a wedding. I guess the question would be "why that day and time." There must be a reason. Doesn't sound like a romantic date for such a special occasion. Maybe it's to honor someone in the family??
It was 105 today. There are times when I really miss SoCal weather.
Frog, how are you doing?
Eva, glad you got your car back. A girl in my office said her car stopped running on her way home from work yesterday. Her hubs came, jump started it. This morning, it was fine. Her hubs followed her to work just in case. All was fine. After work today, her car wouldn't start. Poor dear had to wait an hour until her hubs could get there, jump it and go directly to the mechanic.
I hate having to take care of cars by myself. I think I need AAA.
Gloria, please keep us posted on the wedding. Is there an important WWII vet in the family? That would explain VJ day but not the casual dress.
I vote for AAA. They have saved me many times when the car decided not to work. Can't remember how many times the car had been towed to the repair shop.
I love AAA, too. Once when I was visiting my dad, I was driving his car when it just stopped. Luckily, I was in Gworgia and not L.A. I just rolled into a convenience store that was on the side of the road (again luckily) and called AAA. They are a blessing!
Gloria, I'm interested in hearing about why the weddcing is at 2:27, too. Fascinating!
I love this! Not funny if true, though, so I hope you didn't!

I should have such problems :)
ReplyDeleteAt least I've got my car back. I'm poor, but mobile once again.
