That sycophantic little worm! How gauche of him not to realize that the Japanese are far too dignified to engage in any such grandstanding. (And it does rather force them into some comment about Pearl Harbor, Nanking, Experimental Station 731, 751 or whatever it was.) To say nothing of Bataan, the Phillippines, the Sea Islands--everything, Jeez!
The Japanese were too smart to be dragged into that kind of piddling conversation. Obama is clueless--and embarrassment.
Our great Uncle Leo got his face shot off at Okinawa; I was only allowed to wave at him from the other end of the alley behind the great house, so I have no great love for Japanese of the war.
My 13 aunts and uncles--of whom my beloved grandfather was about 7th--grew up exactly like John Boehner--and not that far away in Indiana. The Tavern was underneath on the ground level ('pool hall' I wasn't allowed to say back in those white-glove days) and the boys all worked there after school, while the girls did laundry for 15 people and the Tavern and fixed dinner for the same.
This makes me so sick! Thank goodness Japan had the presence of mind to stop it. Honestly, this man is clueless!

Zippy hasn't got a clue about normal life.
