Morning. Peace to all who come here. Phooman, thanks for directing me to that youtube video about the shofar ceremony.
Is NCIS something that I would like? I have been looking for a program to follow. Right now about the only program I can watch is Big Bang. I don't like a lot of what I see on Fox. I understand that Glenn Beck is coming back to cable.
Just finished reading The Harbinger. Would highly reccomend it.
Also reading Isaiah 25 - 28 in the New Living Translation. Wowza! The Harbinger and Isaiah has given me a lot to ponder.
I am also trying to knit 2 newborn sweaters and hats for a friend's grand daughters. Twin girls coming in Nov.
Phooey, hubby likes NCIS and I like Mark Harmon. I agree with Surfie, he is hot! :)
Gloria, I am so impressed by talented people like you! My grandbaby due in December won't have homemade gifts like that from me, but thankfully, he has aunts and a great grandma who like to sew! :)
Hi, Phoo! Thank you for posting the vid about the shofar--I'd never heard one before. We're going to have another warm one today. I go back to wound care tomorrow. 'Woggy's out doing errands.
Gloria, you sound nice and busy. I never did get the hang of knitting; I just crocheted a bit. We watch Law and Orders if they're on; I'm having trouble getting into some of the new shows. The seasons are so short, it's hard to develop a routine with them.
Gloria, you are a busy woman! How exciting to know someone expecting twin baby girls. I used to knit, crochet and cross-stitch (mostly when I was pregnant). Maybe someday I'll have time to do them again.
Yay, Phoo! NCIS! I watch NCIS reruns after work (have a crush on Mark Harmon). NCIS Los Angeles is wonderful, too. I also watch a new show on Monday nights, on TNT, called Major Crimes.
I have a brutal cold. It's going around the office. Everybody's coughing and sneezing. By afternoon, we're all so worn out nobody can think straight. This, too, shall pass.
Had a marathon phone call with my son last night. That boy has always brought so much joy into my life. At every age of his life, I would think "this is my favorite age." To see him graduated from college, establishing a life on his own, so excited, here I go again. THIS is my favorite age. He's going to spend a week with me in December. Can't wait!
I've rambled on long enough now! Love you Ponders!
Hey, Froggy, let us know the good report after you get back from would care tomorrow. How is your hand doing?
Hi all! My day has been frustrating. I bought a Nook, so that I'd have something small I can take with me on the plane and not have to pack a bunch of books in my luggage. I can also connect to the internet on it, but I primarily want to use it to read. Anyway, I'm so technology illiterate that I'm having trouble setting my account up. I finally went to my laptop and tried Barnes & Nobel's Nook customer service. They're so busy that after 20 minutes of waiting for an agent, I gave up. Geez! I watched the little video and I'm trying to register and can't even get the keyboard on the screen. My head aches.
Given the state of the world, my problems are minute, but I hate to spend so much time on something and get nowhere.
Eva, I saw Wog's helpful post below, so maybe you don't need any more help. I have a Nook tablet that I love! Just got it a couple months ago, and my only complaint is I have to recharge it after 8 hrs. of reading. Most of my questions were answered by the guide that that is loaded onto the Nook. I helped my 86 yr. old father with his Nook, so I might be of help if you're still having trouble after watching the YouTube video. Good luck!
Eva..TRY THIS.. I went to YouTube and keyed How to use Nook All kinds of info. Here's one link of students who made a quick video for other students to understand how to use Nook.
Thanks so much, 'Wog. I feel like a dinosaur. I like it for reading, but for email and web browsing, not so much. Maybe my fingers are too big or I don't have the right 'touch'. I keep hitting things I don't mean to hit. I'll just keep on trying and watch that youtube.
I know I'm taking a chance posting this so late. I hope you all see this, it is funny, but with too many elements of truth.
T'was the night before elections, And all thru' the town, Tempers were flaring Emotions ran up and down. I, in my bathrobe With a cat in my lap, Had shut off the TV, tired of political crap. When all of a sudden, There arose such a noise, I peered out my window, Saw Obama and his boys. They had come for my wallet, They wanted my pay To hand out to others Who had not worked a day! He snatched up my money, And quick as a wink, Jumped back on his bandwagon As I gagged from the stink. He then rallied his henchmen Who were pulling his cart. I could tell they were out To tear my country apart! 'On Fannie, on Freddie, On Biden and Ayers! On Acorn, on Pelosi' He screamed at the pairs! They took off for his cause, And as they flew out of sight, I heard him laugh at a nation Who wouldn't stand up and fight! So I leave you to think on this one final note... IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM GET OUT AND VOTE !!!! Author unknown
This is GREAT! I wish my husband wasn't already asleep so I could show it to him. I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks for posting it. I needed something to lighten my mind after reading and watching all the bs going on. The MSM is really showing their power and it's driving me batty!
Paget, good to see you. This poem is so true! Some of us stay up late, and I like to check back in the morning to see if there are any last minute posts.
Yipee! It's NCIS day. Hi Surfie!

Hi Froggy,

Hi Surfie,
DeleteI love your comments about your son. That is one special boy you have there! :)
Howdy,
ReplyDeletePhooey, I played several of the shofar videos. One man played two at once.
NCIS..I just can't connect with this one. So, like Froggy said, we will watch Law and Order if nothing else looks interesting.
Gloria..I will check out The Harbinger. I saw something about it on YouTube.
Only 5pm and still hot in Seattle. Going to sit in front of fan.
Hi Wog,
DeleteSorry you and Froggy are not enjoying this heat. Over here, it feels nice to have it finally cool off! I love fall, it's my favorite season. :)
