Good Days at The Pond

Can't we all get along?

  1. Hi Ya'll, I forgot how to sign onto the Pond for a couple days. Thanks to Sis...she pasted a card with the info on the side of her desk. So here is a picture...just too cute to resist. Note that the kitten is bigger than the baby owl.

Seems to be no matter what news I put on TV, it's about Trump. Don't the Dems realize, even if they are talking negative about him, they are putting his name in front of the public. It's more advertising than he could ever wish for! Trump - Trump and more Trump. I am not hearing Hill or Bernie's name, only Trump.

Went to see Froggy today. She always sends her love. And I give her update about Ponder's adventures. Sis was "hurting" from doing physical therapy. She took a nap, so I did the same for a couple hours. Don't know when she'll get to come home.

What's everyone doing? Tornados? Dentist? Gardens? Travel?
I was going to plant snap dragons again, but someone else beat me to the garden, and planted flower seeds. That's good because I haven't had much time lately.

  2. I wish to thank all for prayers, the carotid endarterectomy on DH left side of his neck went well, they should move him from ICU to a regular room today. Will check back here later. WOG are they giving Froggy a triple magnesium complex supplement for her legs? It helps, I was able to put the walker away and just use a cane and even though it hurts, she must use and exercise those legs to get them back, I know it is painful, but it is the only way. Thanks again, ribbit, EC

    1. Good Morning EC...I think that Froggy and I have problems until I hear about other people's lives. You and DH have been dealing with one thing after another. You both could use some "me" time, or in your case, some "together" time.

Froggy said yesterday that she hurt from the exercise they gave her. If the rehab can get her up and walking, I can work with her when she comes home.

Everyone at the Pond will be excited to hear from you. Prayers for you and DH.

    1. Deer Phooey, or as Froggy says -Phoobers. All of your Pond Family loves you and Miss Page. What you said is exactly what we are. Don't know how it happened, but it did.

We all needed a place where we could be genuine, where we could care about each other, where we could share ours lives and our thoughts and our prayers. Froggy, in her great wisdom, made us a home and all of you made it happen.

  4. Phooey put it into a nutshell. Everyone here loves each other. Thank you Frog and Wog for the Pond.

Gloria, your post about your son really touched my heart. I have a nephew with a history so similar to your son's. Long story short, after many years of nice love, tough love, expensive rehabs, successes and failures ... he is now 40 years old and 5 years clean & sober. It FINALLY took with him. He is a joy to all of us (especially his wife and children), and is now a rehab counselor. Your son and family now hold a special place in my prayers.

EC, you are so loved here! You and your husband have so much on your plates. Really, it could be overwhelming but you two just keep on keeping on. You inspire me, and also hold a special place in my prayers. Please post when you can. We love you!

Phooey! Dear Phooey! We love you so much! Is that too many exclamation points? Dear Sir, you are in the special prayer zone. Smooch!

OK, I talk too much about myself. Am doing it again.

Please say a prayer for my company. We came within a hair of failing this week. Color me in a happy heap after the most stressful week ever! I love my job and love the family that owns this company. Seriously, please pray for my company and all the people we employ.

Turning off work stuff. I'm going to buy myself a bicycle tomorrow, going to a family party on Sunday, and doing whatever I want on Monday.

    Love you, Deers!
