  1. Howdy Ponders...I'm hopping hopping hopping! Our Froggy is coming home Friday afternoon. She said to tell everyone that she misses her friends, and she's ready to get out of that rehab place.

  2. Deer, deer Ponders, I have such tragic news. My sister is dead.

Some of you remember the bad time my family went through with her last year. She was lost to us after that. Well, she realized that she had made a horrible mistake and started divorce proceedings. I got an email on October 1st that her divorce was final and she had changed her name back to her maiden name. She also said she was moving back to Georgia.

She & a friend were driving a Uhaul down from Mass. and had gotten almost to the town on Oct. 12th when the friend (who was driving) swerved to miss a deer. She went off the road, down an embankment and into a tree on my sister's side. Jessica was killed instantly. The driver had a slight concussion. She was also driving with a suspended license.

I've just gotten back from Georgia. I have no words. It was brutal. I'm very concerned about my father and my niece. The ex tried to insert himself into the situation and we had to have constant police protection.

My time at the Pond will be spotty for awhile. I can barely think.

  5. Thank you all so much. Your words warm my heart. I'll be okay. I just have to have time to walk through this fog surrounding me. One of these days, the sun will shine again.

  6. Eva, I am so sorry about your sister. Linda came in my room in physical therapy the other day just crying and she told me. I wish I could do something special for you that would ease your pain; you're so well-loved here! All my prayers are with you always. Thank you for hanging around the pond while I've been gone. We really couldn't do without you.

    Love,

  7. I just wrote an epistle and it vanished. Froggy, you are wise and funny and full of love. Thank you for this wonderful blog. Wog, you inspire me in more ways than I can say. Eva, hang in there. I lost my big sister, who had a troubled life, 13 years ago. It takes time to process, but you will survive.

I've been without a computer for a week. Didn't realize how much time I spend reading news. I've gotten so much done this week. I'm moving 1/1/15 and have been going through boxes (late hubby and our son). When I opened hubby's 1st box, I was hit with how he smelled (his favorite hat). It's been a trip down memory lane, a look at myself, and something I really needed to look at.

Sometimes, life's most horrible moments turn out to be a blessing. This might not make any sense, but it is reality for me right now. I've been through huge hills and valleys in my life. Walk through the valley and stand on the hill until the next valley comes. Then walk through it again. Life is an interesting journey.
