  1. You are right little guy, cutest little face. Central Florida has had some nasty cold weather but go figure, it went from 32 to 82 in a day ! Our joints and sinus are very painful. The DH goes back to the surgeon Tue, it will be 90 days Mon. so hopefully will start some sort of PT. I should be happy having him home, but he is driving me nuts. The morons we ordered this computer from, said a week, it was 3 and it is crap, nothing works right, had to hook up my old speakers and it lost my Windows Office, thinking of just packing it up and returning the whole shabang. But that's why you haven't heard from me this month. Geesh it sounds, so negative, but know I think and pray for all of our ponders, even when I can't communicate. The weather all over has been nuts but I remember in 1967, my Dad had to get a snowmobile just so we could get to the stores. As a kid we thought it fun to have snow days, no homework, LOL

  2. Howdy EC, Great to have you back at the Pond. Everyone has been a little out of sorts lately with this crazy weather. We also know about "stupid" computers. They drive Sis and me nuts too. We bought a new one for Froggy and it was a desktop full of apps. She tried it for a day, and said that she wanted the old one back. She got her wish, and the new computer with Windows 8 is in the box on the floor. Now my computer is acting silly. Hope I don't end up with that new computer.

Let us know how DH is doing. Surgery can be scary. You don't know if it will help or make it worse.

    1. Surgery was done on Christmas Eve, we are waiting for the OK to start some sort of rehab. I have been fighting with the computer people about this piece of junk. Right now I am on the old E machine that only has one board working,so it is slower than drying paint, the new one is packed up and on it's way tomorrow to the store. They were real 'cute', their return policy says '14 days from invoice' , well we paid 1/26 but the machine wasn't ready for pickup, 'mother board, back ordered' until 2/17, so I guess they figure their butts are covered, I am so mad, I will call channel 2, 4,6, 9 and local 13 and see who will expose these creeps, also Pam Bondi, our AG, but I doubt she has time for such a small thing, but who knows, these guys advertize as "Bad Boys Computers", wouldn't it be fun if real bad boys , took them on ? I was an upatate New Yoorrker , capieshe

  3. Hi Ya'll, Froggy didn't want to watch Oscars, but I sneaked it on when she wasn't looking. Actually was fun to see a lot of familiar faces. Don't know any of the songs anymore. I still say that we had the best music in the 60's, 70's, 80's. Lady Gaga sang tunes from Sound of Music. I didn't recognize her without her weird outfits. Can you imagine that they left Joan Rivers out of the Memoriam tribute to stars that we lost this year.

I have been summoned to jury duty...Grand Jury duty. I will go this Friday, and learn more about it. Grand jury serves two days a week, every other week ...for 18 months.

    2. Thanks for the info EC. I will look at link when I get home. I'm a little anxious about doing this, but it will be okay once I am there.

  4. Wow, Grand Jury duty. That should be interesting!

Geez, EC, I'd have thrown the computer out the window by now. I hate computer problems. They make me feel so stupid and helpless.

I watched the Oscars from beginning to end. It's been awhile since I've done that. I always enjoy watching people walk the Red Carpet because I love to look at the gowns. Interesting show. I'm not sure what I think. Mostly I'm sorry that American Sniper didn't get more awards.

    It's freezing here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We didn't get the house we looked at because Joe didn't like it. I'm not sure why. I liked it. Not perfect, but what is? Oh well, we're on the hunt still.

Did our taxes today. Don't ask. They can wait until April 15th to get our check. Sigh.

Love to all my Ponders and a big hug to that cutie pictured at the top!

    1. Hi Eva...just a quick note. I have to run for the bus home. We watched the Oscars. Some of it was interesting, some not. So many new people that we don't know. Love seeing the "older" people. Haven't done the taxes yet.

  5. You'll like this story! Darn that Global Warming! Phooey and EC, you are lucky to live in Florida. It's about the only place in the U.S that has any decent weather. No snow in Seattle, but still cold. And today it is raining.

Driver returns to his car to find it has been crushed by huge 150lb blocks of ice that fell from building
Portland, Maine resident Adam Sousa had his car wrecked this weekend by falling ice that shattered the windows, dented the body and caved in the bumper.

Luckily the 28-year-old wasn't in the car at the time, since a 3-foot-long ice chunk smashed through the windshield and landed right between the driver and passenger seats. He says the ice chunk was so heavy, both he and a tow truck driver struggled to move it together.

    1. YEAH, OUR PHOOEY IS HERE. We all love you Phooey. Glad you and Miss Page got the move done. It's never fun to move. Surfie's going to new apartment too. Might have already moved. And Eva and Joe are looking for new place but it keeps snowing. I think Sis and I are set for 3-4 more years. We applied to Section 8 housing, but there is a wait list. We are in no hurry to move because we like where we are now. Close to buses, drug store, grocery store, library.

I went to Grand Jury duty this morning. They picked 23 jurors, and 29 alternates. I am an alternate. If that sounds like a lot of jurors, it's because they are committed to 18 months. So in a year and a half, people get sick, take vacations, ask for leave for hardship, go to school. Then the alternates fill in. So I don't have to go unless I get a call to come in. they only meet two days a week, every other week. It seems very interesting. Grand Jurors only look at evidence and decide if there is enough probable cause to go to trial.

  7. Hi, Deers! My post from yesterday disappeared!

My personal and work lives are full of challenges and joys.

At work, life is good but stressful! The company I work for is growing by leaps and bounds. I love my job. Thank You, Lord, for bringing this job to me and bringing me to this job.

I've been looking for a house in a fun, historical part of OKC for months. Of course, yesterday, one that I could afford that was in a neighborhood that I like, came up for rent. PROBLEM: It started snowing at Noon yesterday. It is still snowing. My brother offered to drive me over to see it. I won't ask him to do that. If someone else rents it before I do, that is ok. Another place will present itself.

    Love you, Deers!
