  1. Add my beloved Miami Dolphins to the teams contemplating a National Anthem protest today. I cannot get over this arrogant, stupid, disrespectful display. On this day of all days. I will have to turn away from one of my favorite pastimes.

Yesterday was the annual Founders Day celebration of one of our local beach communities. It started, as always, with a Pledge of Allegiance. Then the bands started playing. Joe was in one of them. A band that really caught my attention was one called "Strictly 60's". I love 60's music! Anyway, toward the end of their set, the lead singer said that although they were a 60's band, there was one song they wanted to play that wasn't from that era. He dedicated it to the victims, survivors & first responders of 9/11. Then they sang Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA". Everyone stopped what they were doing and sang along. It was very emotional and beautiful.

On a political note, among the food and business stands lining the street, was a table dedicated to Jill Stein for President. I was walking by when I heard a man ask who Jill Stein was. The lady at the table told him she was a choice for those who didn't care for Hillary or Trump. The man answered "Well, I sure as hell am not going to vote for Hillary!". Everyone within earshot laughed. There were lots of cars with Trump bumper stickers around.

May G-d bless those who died 15 years ago, their families, those who came to the rescue, and those who survived. Please Lord, continue to bless the United States of America and keep us safe.

    1. Hello Deer Eva, thank you for the lovely post on this special day. I love Lee Greenwood's song, "God Bless the USA."

I don't know what's going on with football players??? There is no reason to show disrespect to the American flag.

Froggy and I are watching Seahawks play today. We are playing Miami Dolphins in Seattle.

I have a post to put up about the Hill falling...again! Will have to wait til football half-time.

  3. It's half-time on our Seahawks football game. We kicked a field goal in the last four seconds before half-time. Very exciting. We love football.

Here's a link from Daily Mail Online about Hill "falling" again. They have a short video. Something is bad-wrong with her. There seems to be a lot of videos of her falling or tripping or ...

Video footage shows her appearing to lose her balance on the sidewalk before getting helped into a car
The clip shows her knees appearing to buckle on the curb before her aides rush to her side to help
