I'm getting up to speed on the Daily Scandal a la Patraeus. Here, it's not a WEEK into Obama's second term and he's got the F.B.I. investigating the CIA. Beautiful. I bet the Kremlin's a nicer place to work...

Froggy, the House Intelligence Committee needs to subpoena both Petraeus and Hillary (she declined their invite to testify). How are we supposed to get to the bottom of this? Oh yes, that's right, we aren't.
The way I see it, our military is defunded, our intelligence is compromised, our healthcare is zilch (if we can get any at all), and our taxes are going sky high. Welcome to the new normal.
I'm watching football today and getting my frustrations out that way. It's all I have left. The Connection is up and running again and that's what I wrote on the Sports page.
The thing about Petraeus stinks. I hope and pray he sings a song of truth.
Today is my brother's birthday. He is on his way with SIL (whom I love) to drive us down to our niece's wedding reception. Our niece got married in Vegas, and she and new hubby just returned from a 2 week honeymoon riding trains around europe.
This will be a fun evening. Lots of bad things are coming down the pike in our beloved country, but I am going to enjoy my family tonight.

This week left me feeling defeated and depressed.
I think that I have had my fill of TV news. I am tired of hearing filthy and insulting language. Most of what is on TV is garbage. So I think I will be looking for movies to watch. Any sugestions? I have Red Box and the Library. I watched a Bill Whittle video today. Interesting. The one phrase that stayed with me was "parallel media." I wonder how that would come about? Is it even possible?
I would really like to find a church close by. Everything that I would consider is too far. I do have an online ministry that I watch so for now that will have to do.
Hi Ponders.. I'm a little late dropping by today. Sometimes, lately, the world, our world, is such a mess that I don't know what to say. Knowing that we have each other helps me a lot. I want each of you to know that.
I just spent some time on YouTube. There are such wonderful memories on there. I spent the last hour listening to Mike Nichols and Elaine May. Does anyone remember seeing them on TV? They ad-libbed everything. I had forgotten how funny they were.
