    1. Hey there. I am back and not going anywhere for a while. I will be praying for you along with everyone else at the pond for your appt tommorrow. His peace, His grace and His favor.

Did you read my bit about Scott doing a reality check about his health? After 42 years I know that I cannot make him do anything. He has to decide to make the changes on his own. I am encouraged and it makes it easier on me. Today he got rid of his candy stash. Yea!

    2. Gloria, you whippersnappers. Page and I own 46 years married plus 5 years going 'steady'. I'm proud of both of you.

    2. ALL cats are excentric in some way. That is the lovely thing about them.

  3. News From the News:
'WOG comment: "This makes me sick! This makes me angry! Be careful what you say on the Internet; a man in Washington state, who threatened the president, got picked up, and taken to jail this week."

A provision of ObamaCare is set to punish roughly two-thirds of U.S. hospitals evaluated by Medicare starting this fall over high readmission rates, according to an analysis by Kaiser Health News.

Starting in October, Medicare will reduce reimbursements to hospitals with high 30-day readmission rates -- which refers to patients who return within a month -- by as much as 1 percent. The maximum penalty increases to 2 percent the following year and 3 percent in 2014.

Doctors are concerned the penalty is unfair, since sometimes they have to accept patients more than once in a brief period of time but could be penalized for doing so -- even for accepting seniors who are sick.

"Among patients with heart failure, hospitals that have higher readmission rates actually have lower mortality rates," said Sunil Kripalani, MD, a professor with Vanderbilt University Medical Center who studies hospital readmissions. "So, which would we rather have -- a hospital readmission or a death?"

    1. We MUST vote Obama out of office, as well as all members of the congress and senate who are in favor of this administration's destruction of our country.

  4. Great to hear from everyone. Sounds like things are on the uptick here on the Pond concerning health issues. We'll keep on keeping on being spiritually arm in arm together. We'll be with you tomorrow, Froggy!

I have a serious prayer request. A guy at work got seriously injured today. I work in a hydraulic mfg./repair company. It can get dangerous out there in the shop. The man I ask you to pray for is named Duy (pronounced Dewey). He's from VietNam (been here 23 years, legally). Has a wife and 2 kids. He's a machinist who operates a giant lathe. It took a forklift to get this piece of equipment into his lathe so he could machine it. He had to loosen parts of the lathe to get the thing into it. He loosened it a bit too much and it fell out. Knee-jerk reaction is to catch it (ludicrous because it weighs nearly as much as he does) ... but he tried to catch it. Bottom line: It crushed his right hand. From what I can tell, he will lose his right middle finger. We won't know until tomorrow about the rest of his right hand. Please say a prayer for Duy.

    1. I'll gladly pray for him, hon. I know what it is to have hands that don't work right--poor guy.

Congrats for that long marriage, Phooey--I'm so glad you have someone dear to you. Nobody should go through life alone. I don't know what I'd do without 'Woggy.

Gloria--I think you're a secret good influence on the people around you--I know you've influenced me! SmOOch!

    2. Froggy, we love you so much and know you love us right back. This blog isn't the biggest blog in the world (for now), but it is a beautiful place to belong. We love each other, pray for each other, encourage each other, tell stories, discuss things ... all with great respect.

YOU, my dear Froggy, created this and brought us together. THANK YOU.

    3. This IS a pretty nice place to come, isn't it? My thanks too, Froggy. Nice friends here.

Surfie, I will be praying for Duy, for supernatural healing and that he would not loose his finger and be able to return to work and support his family.

I have worked in an industrial environment. When people get hurt they get hurt bad.
