    3. EC, you a special "pet mom." Not everyone likes cats and dogs, but, I think all we Ponders love 'em. Glad you enjoyed this weeks Pond Pic. They looked so cute together.

  2. Good Morning Pond Family...seems like I'm just coming home and I'm tired, or I'm running for the bus to go somewhere. They finally got Froggy into the exercise room. She was tired yesterday, but always sends her love. I let her know how everyone is doing. As far as news and politics, it just goes too fast for me to keep up. It's okay if someone writes something about politics. Whatever happened to Dinesh?

  4. Kiss and hugs from me to you and Froggy, too. Hope our Froggy keeps getting better and that you take time to care for yourself. You two inspire me with the love you have for each other. Few things in this world more special than sisters!

Dinesh got probation and has to attend some counseling class. I chuckle about that, because he'll attend it then turn them on their heads with his next book!

Summer just won't let go here. We're dry as a bone and still in the high 80's. We have a very slight chance of rain tomorrow night, then one cool day on Friday, then back up into the dry high 80's next week. If I knew it was going to stay this warm for such a long time I would have planted a second crop of tomatoes!

Confession: I got scared last week after the beheading here. Was planning on going to a big arts/crafts festival, going to a great discount shoe store in a big mall for new work shoes. The thought of big crowds got me scared in this city I have always felt so safe in. I didn't do either thing but thought about it and prayed a lot about it while I puttered around my house over the weekend. At the end of the day, I'm going to go about my business, probably pay a lot more attention to my surroundings. Evil like this can happen anywhere until we good people stand up through faith and political pressure on the pansies now holding elected office.

I've been having fun looking at a new place to rent come January 1! Have already started packing things that I will not use between now and then. Moving is such a chore, but at least this time I'm only moving across town instead of half-way across the country!

    Love you deers.

  5. Love ya Surfie...Your smoochies and hugs are going in my backpack too. I think they will enjoy the bus trip around Seattle. I am a little afraid too. Though it doesn't show. Remember to take care of yourself, too. Your job creates stress too. And moving, and looking for a new place. Sometimes you just have to stay home, and take a bubble bath. ('WOG wisdom!)

Any news from Mags??? Ponders want to know.

  6. Howdy Pond Family, Sorry that I come back so late. Did I miss all the fun? TV is on some news channel so I can play catch up with Wednesday doings. Froggy walked a short distance today, a little wobbly but she is trying so hard to get better. She sends smoochies and hugs back to each of you.

  7. I agree about how fast the news is moving. It seems as though it's all going at warp speed the last few years! One scandal after another. I'm exhausted. Before we assimilate one, another pops up. What about the stuff we're missing? This is a true bird's eye view of what happens when we elect someone who is so totally incompetent. Very dangerous times that we live in!

  8. Hi Eva, It makes me happy to come home, and find a message from you. Anytime I feel down, I like to walk by the water. We don't have an ocean in Seattle, but we do have a waterfront and seagulls. There is something about the sea that is calming. Eva, Be safe and stay well.

I can't stay up much later or I won't get up in the morning. I came home about 10:30pm.The smoke alarm is "chirping" about once a minute. I'll just cover my ears. Don't want to stay up, and wait for a fix-it man to drop by.

  9. Today marks a sad anniversary. A year ago, we lost little Puffin. Sometimes, I still can't believe it. Sigh. Bambu has been alone for a year. He's hanging in there. We have a vet appt. scheduled for him today. Right now he's snuggled with Joe in bed.

It's a gray day but shouldn't be rainy. I'll take the time to walk by the water and think. Well, as best as I can, anyway. There's still so much road work and construction going on in the area.

    1. Dear Eva, I am so sorry about Puffin. I don't think you ever get over missing them. Sis spoiled our last kitty, Boris, when we lost his sister. We felt sorry for him, and gave him extra snuggles and petting and play-time. Love 'em all, and miss 'em all.

    2. Thank you so much, 'Wog. It helps to come to the Pond every day and see his sweet little face with that crown on it.

Bambu had to get a rabies vaccine yesterday during his vet visit. It's a state law, they told us. The little guy is almost 19 years old and never goes outside, but I let them do it. Last night and all day today he was sore and shaky on his feet. Joe & I were transporting him up and down the stairs, on and off the bed, in and out of the litter box. He's much better now, but combine our worry with my fasting for Yom Kippur and it wasn't the best of times. Oy!

    3. Dear Eva, Everyone here makes The Pond special. Froggy always gave our kitties rabies shots. Sorry to hear that your little guy reacted badly. I used to get a sore arm and not feel well with the tetanus shots. I saw on the calendar that it was Yom Kippur, a most holy day for you. Blessings.
