It's about time! Can we have a useful government now?

  1. Good Morning, Ponders. Good Morning, GOP! There are so many surprising changes lately. The Dems have done so much damage, it's going to take a lot of work to fix it. Did anyone read this headline? Do you think we can get our fair, caring America back?

Poll: 39% of Democrats Want Obama to Run for a Third Term
"A new Economist/YouGov poll that was conducted just before the elections certainly showed that overall a large number of respondents are unhappy with Obama, but there was also a large number of Democrats who thought that Obama was so great that he deserves a third term.

The poll found that 39 percent of the Democrats surveyed wished that the 22nd Amendment that holds a president to only two terms didn't exist so that Obama could run for a third term."

  2. I wish I could post a picture, the red is more predominant than is map shows. I haven't posted because I volunteer for true the vote and then picking up signs, etc. But I do read the posts but have been away from the PC. Froggy, eat your vitamins, keep your legs up, and smile.
Stay home so we can talk to you and wog.

    1. Thanks, Eva, Glad to hear that you are keeping busy...and for a good cause. I get Froggy's meds ready for her every morning and cook the meals. She is trying to do her hopping every day.

  3. I have so much to say. To begin with the outcome of the election is wonderful. It would be nice if the west side of our state would catch on and follow the rest of the country. The very idea that there are 39% of people that believe that Obama can run for a third term is unbelievable. How about the parents from Ferguson that have gone to Switzerland to plead their case with the United Nations? Where did they get the idea to do that and who is paying for it?

    1. I am having to do a copy/paste action to get my comments to stick.

    2. Gloria, Yeah for our side. Though I thought we were all on the same side, the dems have done a lot of damage. Sorry that blogger doesn't work as easy as it used to. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

  4. Our son Steve has been treating us to dinner on Fridays from the local Mexican place and Scott's brother is here visiting - nice end of the week.

  5. Welcome home Froggy! Such a relief that you're back home.

Eva's right about the red map. Can't remember where I saw it, but there's a map of the country that included results that covered senate, governors, and state representative elections across the country. Solid red with thin blue strips down the west & northeast coasts plus pockets of blue in big cities like Miami, Chicago. Going to be an interesting few years!

    Hi, Phooey! Hi EC!

I talked with Mags a couple of weeks ago. She's had her last chemotherapy. Even though she's been through the wringer physically, she was her usual positive and funny self.

Polar vortex is set to hit here on Monday. Guess I'd better get my car in for service to make sure I'm good with antifreeze, etc.

Hey, Eva! I remember not a single I voted for getting elected back during my decades in SoCal. Now that I'm in the reddest of any state, it sure is nice. People who live inside the beltway and big city liberal cocoons really and truly have NO CLUE about real life in most of this country.

Have a great Saturday all you deers.

    1. Hi Surfie, so glad to hear from you. You are lucky to live in a red state. We all seem to be extra busy right now. Veteran's Day is coming next week, Thanksgiving, Rosh Hashanah, Christmas. Too much, too fast. Can't believe this year is almost over.

  6. Great game for Georgia today. Lifted my heart (which is still high from the election).

Obama is delusional. No, really. I don't think he gets what just happened. The Dems are spinning like tops and there's so little for them to spin!

    1. Eva, wouldn't it be nice to rip the curtain back and see what is really going on?

  7. Eva, wonderful football game for Georgia! Football is something we can root for, and feel good about. Seattle Seahawks play the Giants today in Seattle.

Froggy wants to play Monopoly everyday. I always lose, but it's great to have Froggy feeling better. I do legs exercises with her, and then follow along as she walks across the room. She sends her love to her beloved hoppers (that's froggys, not grasshoppers!)

Did I tell anyone that I won a poetry-on-the bus contest? They picked 365 winners, one for each day. Me and another lady downstairs both got selected. It had to write a 50-word poem about home. Monday my friend and I get to go to a special party for all the winners.

  8. Froggy, I love to play Monopoly. It is a good indoor activity for days that are gloomy outside.

  9. Watching Seahawks this afternoon while crocheting and baking banana bread. My version of multi tasking.

About the only news I watch is on Fox. I know they try to be fair and balanced but I can't take all of the democrat spin.
