Pick your fav team
Team Fluff or Team Ruff

  1. My computer just went crazy. Hope this doesn't post twice. Love the Puppy Bowl! I saw a sneak Kitten Bowl ad yesterday. It was adorable!

I'm all in for the Seahawks tomorrow. Why? Because Froggie and Wog live in Seattle, and I grew up with a former player (Steve Largent). I just hope to tune out the drone of sport reporter commentary regarding football psi and watch a football game! The only ad I look forward to is Budweiser. Hope the half-time show doesn't make me want to throw a shoe at my TV.

It's Saturday, cold and rainy, and I don't need to go to the office today. Hooooray! I'm just enjoying staying in, making food, napping, doing my nails, watching TV.

    Love to Deer Ponders!

  2. If I'm forced to pick, I'd pick team Fluff, but I love them both and intend to watch both... and, of course, the real game. I'll be rooting for the Seahawks, too. It's tough to win back to back SB's, though. I just hope whoever wins that it's a good, competitive game.

    Love to you all!

  3. Eva and Surfie...always love to hear from you. We can't wait for the game tomorrow. Too exciting to live in a city where they are going to Super Bowl. When we lived in Denver, our Broncos and John Elway (quarterback) went 3 times and didn't win. But everyone, and I mean everyone, wore an orange t-shirt. Then the year Sis and I moved to San Diego, the Broncos went to Super Bowl again. The game was played in San Diego, and our beloved Broncos and John Elway won! Football is so exciting.

My computer is screwy. Don't have the money to fix it, and don't know how to fix it myself. I finally downloaded Goggle Chrome today which is a pain to use, but at least I can get on Internet. Froggy said I should "restore" but then I'll lose everything saved on desktop.

  4. Good morning pond friends!

I just wanted to say that the Seattle Seahawks are loved throughout the whole state of WA. I totally enjoyed all the photos I've seen in the news about the celebration in Seattle! I especially like seeing the Space Needle lit up in green and blue; but let me tell you, this isn't just a city of Seattle thing; there is pride for this team throughout the whole state! I've even felt out of place at the grocery store the last few weeks, because I don't have a Seahawks shirt! (I'm tired of wearing my hubby's big shirts; I'm going to order a girly shirt after the game!) .

I grew up in Seattle in the mid 50's, early 60's before it became the liberal bastion that it is today. It was a great place to spend a childhood; beautiful beaches, islands to visit, people with traditional values, etc. It's saddened me to see how much it has changed . (no offense Froggy, Wog, and Gloria; Seattle still has great people!) However, you have a Seattle city council that is pretty much out of touch with reality. For instance, they've made it mandatory to compost. The garbage men now have to go through homeowner's garbage, and fine the ones who throw away the wrong things! The first thing our democrat governor did when he was elected in 2012, was to announce that our state was going to get serious about global warming. He's now trying to pass a cap and trade law. The east side of the state is very conservative. I'm talking about a state that is so divided, eastern WA legislators are bringing forth a bill to separate WA into two states; east and west. Of course that is crazy, and will never pass, but eastern WA is tired of going along with the west side rules.

Here's how this relates to the Seahawks. Some might say, come on, it's just football, but I see this Seahawk team bringing the entire state together. We have this is common, and it makes me happy to have something we can agree on! LOL - we're not that bad, but it sure feels good to cheer on this team that has made the whole state proud. I have no idea how today will turn out, but just let me close with this - GO HAWKS!

    Thank you for indulging me.

    I love you all.

    1. What a sad ending. Why did Russell throw it? So disappointed, but I still love my Seahawks! Next year!

  5. Arggghhh! There really isn't anything to say. The Patriots didn't win. The Seahawks lost it. Joe & I agree with Paget. That last play was the worst call in history. Why on earth would they not have handed it off to Marshawn Lynch to run it in is beyond me. They were on the 1 foot line and had 4 downs to get in the end zone. There is no justification for throwing it. None. Unbelievable.

'Wog, I've been using Chrome. Yeah, it's a pain, but it works. Better this than not being able to get on at all.

  6. We love our Seahawks anyway, but... that last play was just stupid. Marshawn should have had the chance to win the game. So now we are on to the next season. At least we beat a lot of teams for the honor to play the Super Bowl. That in itself is a great accomplishment. The team was surprised when they landed at SeaTac Airport, Seattle. The fans were there to rally and thank them for a fantastic season of football.

What's next on the calendar? I don't know what picture to put on The Pond. Maybe it's time for a Grumpy Cat.

Eva, are you and Joe and Bambu surviving all that snow? Unlucky people who have dogs...and have to walk them a couple times a day! It's gotta be hard to look for a new house in this kind of weather.

  7. That last play astounded me, too. But you must agree that it was a good game!

LOVED your post, Paget. Please keep them coming!
