Hi Ponders, yes, I let my Birthday slip by almost unnoticed. Surfie caught me! I'm 75 and still in pretty good shape. Must be all that walking (and sometimes running) for the bus every day.
Tonight is the GOP debates. Might already be on. I'll check TV and be right back. Yep, they're on. Don't know how long I can watch. Will like to hear the feedback later this evening. Any Ponders watching?
Wog, I will always remember your birthday because it is also my birthday. I turned 61. You inspire me! Honestly, walking really is a factor. I also think that just being interested in something or busy with something is a factor.
The GOP election cycle is already wearing me out. I watched some of it and started feeling so irritated that I had to turn it off. It's the silly season! Gonna be a long year, politically speaking.
I got a nice $450 surprise in the mail yesterday. The office manager of my old apartment and I disagreed on the $ I owed when moving out. If I didn't pay her amount she could disable my gate card (me and my mover couldn't get in and out), so I paid it. The corporation who owns the complex agreed with me, and refunded the money! I don't earn that much money but am very frugal so I spend less than I earn every month and had the money to pay the witch. It was SO NICE to get that hard-earned money back!
Can I say again how much I love my new duplex? It took a year to find what I want at this price. The rent is much lower than in general for the neighborhood because I'm in the 1st block from a busy street. That street is in an historic neighborhood experiencing a revival. Today, at noon, the busy street is being blocked off for a street fair. Food trucks, bands, all the little shops having sales. It is 7am right now and the food trucks are already coming in. I can see all the action from my front porch. LOVE IT!!!! I'm running my errands this morning, then walking over to the fun this afternoon.

The neighborhood street fair was so much fun. Last night, I went to the state fair with my brother, SIL, sister, and niece. We had a great time together, as usual. Feeling a little sluggish this morning because I ate a corn dog, pepperoni pizza, and pork chop sandwich. And drank a beer. My feet still hurt!
Hope Phooey checks in. Hey, Phoo! Tuesday night are the season premieres of NCIS and NCIS New Orleans. Definite must watch for we NCIS fans.
My new place is a lot bigger than my old apartment, and I need more furniture. I've been looking for a month for vintage living room chairs. I can't afford the ones I like. This morning, I went online to see what new furniture stores have. Think I found the 2 perfect chairs at the local Pier 1 store, on sale, for less money than I had budgeted. The store opens at 11:00. Wish me luck!
Surfie, sorry it took so long to get to The Pond. We always love to hear about our adventures. Froggy quit hopping for a couple days, but she's doing better today. We are about to play Jeopardy (on TV). Your new place sounds like a dream. I would love that kind of neighborhood.

I love you ladies more than could ever be expressed... it breaks my heart that most of us have disappeared from Froggy's site. Bless you 'Wog and Surfie for your commitment. I don't ever recall any of us have been offended by any other...so, what has happened to us ? There have been many times I could have said "Hi Deers" or anything... something !!! I miss our family... each and everyone of you ! I'm out of words at this time.

OK that worked, I had a very long post that got zapped. I had some surgery and couldn't type, left wrist still in a little ace,velcor brace. We are family and it sounds like everyone is keepingon-keepingon, hey guys, if it was easy kids would do it, we are strong and have each other. Now about NCIS ! I don't have cable, so being laid up I IXQUICK it and found a site that is free of all past shows: putlocker.is/watch-ncis-los-angeles-tvshow I have spent the month, none stop, session 1 episode 1 to last night premier good grief, I dream with G, Sam, Deeks and Kensi and love Hetty. I did not even know what NCIS was until you all were talking about it, now I am hooked !
