  2. Thanks for the good wishes! It will be tornado-ey for another month or so. Always know, Deers, that I have a storm shelter at work and a safe room at home. I will always be safe. Can't say if my house and car will always be safe, but that is why I have insurance! Big storms predicted for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. I love thunderstorms. Can live without the tornadoes. Prayers always for those who lost lives and homes and cars. Just part of life around here.

    Love you dear Deers!

Eva ... write to us!!!!! Pretty please!!!!

  3. Happy Weekend, Deers! Where is everyone? Come on, Deers. What's going on in your world?

Phooey, did you post on The Conservative Treehouse? Someone named Phooey posted and I wondered if it was our Phooey.

We've been having typical Spring thunderstorm/tornado weather lately. Yesterday was nearly 90 degrees. Overnight, the temp dropped and the clouds moved in. We will be rainy and in the upper 50's all week, then back into the 80's and sunny for next weekend. OK with me! I've been craving some home-made chicken soup and now is the perfect weather to make some.

Come on, Deers! What's going on in your worlds?

    1. I've been busy..more than I ever wanted to. Froggy is back at hospital. Sending her to rehab today. They never pick someplace close. They are sending her Federal Way...which will be a "fun" trip on a couple buses for me.

Also my AARP Senior program has increased our work hours from 18 to 20. I can't squeeze in any more hours. Also have Jury Duty this week.

This is a good day to walk along the beach and not worry about anything.

Love to everyone. Froggy will be fine.

  5. Always know I'm praying for everyone even when I don't check in. Froggy, be good at Rehab and come home! 'Wog, I remember my days of bus riding around Los Angeles before I got a car. I had to always add an extra hour to my schedule. It was exhausting, but when there was no other choice, that's what had to be done.

Surfie, your comment about tornado alerts just being part of life in OK, reminds me of our time in So Cal. Having an earthquake bag in the house, in the car, and at work was just routine. Maybe one of these years they'll be able to figure out a warning system for earthquakes.

Speaking of So Cal, Joe is heading there next month for the retirement party of a teacher he worked with for 20+ years. He'll take a trip down memory lane for the both of us. Early July brings my father, Nikki & her family here to the Shore for 2 weeks and then Joe & I go down to Georgia for 2 weeks. That takes care of July. I'll be going down there again at the end of August for Isaac's 6th birthday. Time goes so fast! He just finished Kindergarten. 1st grade here we come!

Anxious moments last week when Nathaniel woke up in the middle of one night not being able to breathe. A frantic 911 call and a trip to the ER brought a diagnosis of Croup. Such a common childhood ailment, but it came on out of nowhere and Nikki was berating herself for becoming complacent about him. All is well now but it was pretty scary for awhile.

Little Tallulah just turned 5 months old and is continuing to be adorable. My father turned 92 a few weeks ago and is still going strong (thank you G-d). My father-in-law turned 96 last weekend and is very cranky. We're on our way up to visit for the weekend, as we do almost every week.

That sums things up with us. Prayers go out to the 66 souls on the EgyptAir flight. Sigh. Trump didn't let any grass grow under his feet about that! Good.

    1. Eva, thanks so much for update. You have been so busy. By the way...I love the name Tallulah. Must have been a real scare for Nathaniel. Don't know how they treat Croup.

It's time for me to run for the bus. Takes about an hour and half to get there. I have puzzle books to do on the ride. And snacks.
