Sometimes you just need flowers...

What more could you want?

  1. We have the Best Pond Family....re-read all the posts from last week. I don't mind if you want to leave out politics. Some days it's just too much to listen to. And I worry about the cheating and buying votes and what will happen if so-and-so wins.

Hi Phooey, your Pond Girls are always happy to see your posts. Hope you and Miss Page have air conditioning. We just had one day of 85 in Seattle and thought it was bad. HA!

Surfie, so sorry you had to lose your assistant. You must be the best boss on the planet! Nobody does what you did for an employee. She will always remember your kindness. Maybe someday if she is a boss, she will be like you.

Eva, I often think about moving back to San Diego, but I think me and Froggy and you and Joe left just in time. It's only going to get worse down there ...and all along the border. Frankly I am horrified at how easy it is for people (and terrorists) to just walk across and into the USA. (forgive the bad grammar...somehow "me and Froggy" just feels right!)

EC, wonderful to hear from you. Seem like you are on the mend...even if it's slow. I will let Froggy know about the Blue Emu. And I will look for it when I go to the drugstore.

Froggy made The Pond as a place of kindness and love. Some other places are real cutthroat and nasty and mean. That's never going to happen here.

No, there is no political bickering here. We all have our individual reasons--all view points are allowed without rancor.

  2. Happy Sunday! It is always a good day when we hear from you, Froggy. Nice to hear from Phooey and EC, too! Are you OK EC? The story you told on the previous thread scared the daylights out of me. God is surely watching over you.

I've had the most wonderful weekend following one of the most awful work weeks ever. My sister's 1st grandbaby turned 1 on Friday. The whole family gathered at my sister's house for Miss Savannah's party. She is a beautiful, funny, happy little one! Great time was had by all.

Today my bother treated me, my sister, her husband, and of course his wife to Sunday Brunch at the Petroleum Club. Glad someone in the family is making a lot of money! The food was outstanding. I'm so blessed to have a family of people who actually have fun with each other.

Now I'm home doing laundry, prepping food for next week, and goofing around on the internet.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
