  1. Deerest Ponders, too much bad news today. Sometimes we need to step away from the TV and newspapers, and find a place of peace for our soul. Today is one of those days. We can never let the "bad" overcome the "good."

Ponders, Pray for anyone who needs healing. Come to The Pond anytime, day or night, for quiet and comfort, for understanding and compassion. Just know that here you are loved.

Thank you, Deer Froggy, for making us a Happy Home.

  2. Surfie's comment on the last thread was spot on. Horrible as this attack is, it will propel Trump into the White House.

I spent yesterday frozen in horror. I lived 25 years in West Hollywood, CA. I went to the Gay Pride Parade every year (it was blocks from my house). Such a fun, happy time. Great food, balloons, costumes. I shake to think of all of my friends and neighbors as targets. May their souls rest in peace.

I hate to make this political, but Trump has to reference Hillary's taking money from the countries who support radical islam. He has to say this has nothing to do with gun control. He has to say that if she is elected, this will continue. The President's policies are directly responsible. I'm angry!

    1. Good Moring Deer Eva, I am so sad today. It's hard to stay positive when the bad news comes. Just don't know what to say. There are so many stupid, ignorant people in the world who don't know they have a good life. They use all the inventions that "good" people have made...starting with cell phones and computers and cars.

Hillary can't handle this! And muslim countries don't respect women.

  3. Read Donald Trump regarding foreign policy here:

Our next President. Today 7/14/16 is Flag Day and his 70th birthday.

  4. I love how Trump got under Obama's skin. The President had a tantrum yesterday and just proved that he gets angrier at Republicans than Muslim terrorists. The only good thing about the ridiculous back & forth yesterday was that Hillary was totally overshadowed!

  5. Good morning, Deers! If you don't mind, I'll start with the gloom and wind up with the good.

To say that our government and media are full of stupid people or politically correct people is not the whole reality. Both groups are also full of morally corrupt people. Follow the money. Who owns the candidates, the news organizations and their talking heads? Again, go to The Conservative Treehouse and get educated.

I have an LGBT niece. She has always been a socialist and was all-in for Bernie. S.L.O.W.L.Y. she is realizing how Bernie knew he would never be the candidate and was in it for the money, how her personal finances will be killed by socialism. Her opinion that Trump is a womanizer and homophobic is starting to fall apart. She is in the process of sorting it out. It's a stark moment for a lot of lefties in this country. I'm hopeful that the non-PC truth Trump speaks will start to sink in with a lot of people like my niece (she is 30 years old).

On to the happy! I'm so looking forward to Mike and Lisa spending a week here in OKC. This will be the 1st time that all cousins (my generation's children) and their spouses and children will be together. We of the older generation are so excited!

A glimmer of good news about my job. I've seen a shift in the last 30 days. Two of our biggest customers are sending in more work. They have gone from paying in 60 days (only after me pestering them) to paying right on the nose at 30 days. One of those customers yesterday verbally granted us a contract that will pump in enormous amounts of money to us. This won't happen for a couple of months. In the meantime, I'm biting my nails every week just collecting enough money to make payroll. You know what? It's going to be a bumpy road for a little while longer, but I believe we will be OK. YAY!

Today, I'm going to my sister's house for a swim and cook-out. Sister and I went through a bumpy period with each other when I first moved back to OKC, but we worked that all out and are best friends again. Gonna be fun, and a plus is I get to see my great-niece, Miss Savannah. She's 13 months old now and such a joy.

Hope all of you Deers have a wonderful day today!

    1. Love ya Surfie, you always have so much news. When I was twenty, I was a dem just because all my friends were dems. Then I figured out that the dems just mean more government control. Now I am a GOP forever! Glad to see that your niece is questioning the "truths-as-dems-see-it." Swim and cookout sounds like the cure for everything. Enjoy!

  6. Brilliant observation from our Eva in a post from June 15. In case you missed it, here is what Eva said:
"The President had a tantrum yesterday and just proved that he gets angrier at Republicans than Muslim terrorists."

Froggy sends her love to all her Pond Friends. She is going to check up on me in the morning to see if I put up a new pic.

Did I tell you that I took two weeks vacation? This week and next week. Just too much going on. Politics, a favorite neighbor moved out, AARP moving me from my nice job at Federal Building to a food bank, looking for a "real" job, still on Grand Jury duty. Just too much to deal with. Loving to sleep in, watching TV with Sis, pulling weeds in apartment garden. Starting to feel normal again.

  7. Happy Vacation, Wog! You are in my heart and prayers for the perfect job. I know you will find it!

Eva's quote is brilliant. You know what Trump said in his 1st rally after Obama's tantrum? "He's more mad at me than he is at the terrorist!"

My sister and I spent 3 hours together yesterday, just the 2 of us, getting our tans on and talking with each other without other people needing us to do anything. Her kids took Miss Savannah shopping, so sister and I just spent the day together without anyone asking us to do anything. So.Much.Fun.

On my way back to sister's house right now. We're cooking and swimming. Her kids will be there, as well as Miss Savannah.

It's Fathers' Day. I love my dearly departed father. His name is Frank. I'm the only child of his that inherited his genes. I look just like him! So many precious memories of me and Daddy are in my heart today.

    Love you, Deers!
