Priceless!

  1. Good morning Froggy and friends!

Perfect cartoon! It is so frustrating that this man gets a pass at every crazy thing he says! He's been to all 57 states; 10 thousand people died in the tornado in Kansas, when it was really 12; etc, etc. President George Bush mispronounced the word "nuclear" and the press thought he was an idiot! I sure hope sanity reigns next November, and we get a grown-up back in the White house.

Eva, I had to chuckle at your comment yesterday about marching around the room. :) I've been known to dance like "no one's looking" when I'm here in the house alone. I've also done that at work, in our old trailer, long after everyone had left for the day. After sitting at the computer all day, I would take a break and crank up the music, and dance down the hall to my rock and roll CD. The last time I did that, I was back at my desk for about 30 seconds when one of the bosses walked in. I was so thankful he hadn't shown up a minute sooner! How embarrassing would that have been! I really dodged a bullet, and now I just rock out at home. ;)

  3. Hi Gloria,

I thought your comment yesterday was all in good fun :) It seemed to go right along with Phooey's morning sickness comment. Wish I had thought of it. ;)

Hope everyone has a good day. This is the first day of my diet. :p Trying not to feel sorry for myself! :)

  4. I am thinking of going on the cake and cookie diet. All the cake and cookies you can eat. You just have to wash them under running water first. It could work.

  5. Ha, ha!

Speaking of cake and cookies, (bah humbug) ;) I just noticed that Miss Lucianne posted that there will be a Christmas recipe thread this year. :) She didn't say exactly when, but she sounded more upbeat, so I hope she is doing better. I feel so sorry for her family.

  6. I LOVE this cartoon, too! Are we the only ones who remember every goof the MSM played up when it was made by Bush? It seems like it. My husband is always screaming, "57 states!" at the TV. It's his shorthand response to these idiots who never mention Obama's goofs. I've given up. The double standard isn't going anywhere.

Poor Paget and her diet :( I'm starting tomorrow. Diet and exercise. Hopefully, it'll last longer than a few days.

Gloria, I'm saved only by my dislike for cake and cookies (except maybe those peanut butter ones Miss Lucianne mentioned). Got any tips for munchies? I'm especially addicted to salty ones like pretzels and salt & vinegar potato chips. Can't eat just one.

Hope everybody is relaxing this Sunday or being like Paget & me and dancing around when we think no one is looking ;)

  7. Hi, OccuPonders! Yes, Paget, I've read more posts upset there wasn't a recipe thread this year more than any other!Paget, stick with it--I'm trying to exercise more, but it's killing my back. Doc says go slow...

Phoo, how are you? We're watching the Seahawks...

Gloria? We always have a good time here! I like your diet better than Pagets!

  8. Hey, all. The diet and exercise go-round has left me in the dust. If I compare how much I eat with what I was eating a few years ago I should be loosing weight. I think my metabolism has come to a screeching halt. Right now I am dealing with my food sticking and won't go down. That and chronic reflux. I am supposed to go in to see a GI Dr in Dec.
There is an exercise program called T-Tapp. My daughter got me onto it. look up T-Tapp.com. Teresa Tapp explains the hows and whys. Routines are geared for every fitness level or lack of it, even sitting down. There is one for rehab too. One of the best things is that it helps to get the lymph system moving. There are samples online for free. I have a really good (read:lame) excuse for not doing it.

  10. We pick up our kitty next Saturday.
Man, I am so cold today I could use a nice kitty to snuggle with.
It has been at least 12 years since we have had a cat and 6 years since our lab died.
    We are ready.

  11. Gloria,

I'm glad you have an appt. with your doctor soon. That is scary stuff. I've had problems swallowing before, and with reflux, or as I found out it was called; GERD. (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) My doc did the endoscopy procedure and prescribed Nexium, and it helped a lot. Also, I improved a lot when I lost weight. I hope you get some relief soon.

I'm also eager to see pictures of your new kitty. :)

  12. Every night Puffin crawls under the covers with me. His little purring body feels so good. Even when it's warm during the day (like today was 80 again), the temps drop at night. You're going to love having a kitty to cuddle with!

  13. I will send pictures. I just have to get tutored on how. Not yet - I'll let you know when.
I am looking for a picture of a tree frog who made a home in my bird house. He is sitting right in the hole with a big smile on his face.
