I poke in every day I just don't post! but I have been busy In Nov I took the pups for a walk and Clyde the wonder dog broke free (stupid cat) and hasn't been seen since I have been looking high and low! Daily visits to the pound ,visiting the cops , posting on line and putting up signs for 20 miles around daily hikes here and all the places we ever took him, knocking on every door in the nieghboring areas t least once week. (I should probably be charged with stalking LOL) On the 5th thought we found him but it's not him .Took Buddy home anyway so I m now working with new dog Buddy/Minion please forgive and know I am praying for everyone here!
As for the name thing when I finally got a chance to sign up for L. I had just spent 5 months hiking the Appalachian Trail to heal from losing my Joe. I am a Hiker I am female (Duh) but girl is to young I am a gal I know who I am
I'm sorry you lost your doggie! Wait, he may come home yet--you know how dogs are. The only way I know folks are here is if they post--and we love to hear from you. (Did I say girl instead of gal? oops!)
My beautiful sister just lost her job, so every bit of support we get we treasure--she was our only income... They've also canceled my medical insurance for the second time this year, so she and I are starting to jump through the hoops of unemployment and Medicaid... which is just as much fun as you'd imagine it is.
Tell us how your new pup is doing--we love animal stories. Hope you get the other little guy back. Oh, and who is that on your avatar at Lucianne? Is that you? ;-)
My Avatar is my beloved Mom giving BG(bordergirl) a smooch about 25 years ago. I really don't know where I would be without BG I live with her and she puts up with me. Losing a job and no income no ins. is horrible. I agree with the others I want my taxes to help you who have worked and tried v those who just expect it!
Oh geez, Hiker, I'm so sorry to hear about Clyde! As Froggy says, though, don't give up hope. Wonder dog that he is, he may just find his way back. Then you'll really have a full house!
I'm sure communing with nature helped alot after you lost Joe. Whenever I don't understand why something happened the way it did, or why it happened to me at all, I spend time with nature, talking to G-d. It forces me to accept the limitations of human life. When I look at the incredible natural world out there, I realize how much of a dot we are in comparison and I try to be grateful. It ain't easy all the time, but eventually, I come around to it!
Love to everyone today. I'm going to take a hot, steamy shower and try to turn my bathroom into a spa. Maybe that will loosen up this junk I have in me. Getting mighty tired of it! Wonder if the boys will steer clear of the menthol :)
