Happy Wednesday, Ponders!

  1. Hi folks! Well, I called DSHS and finally spoke to a human being and it seems we didn't turn in a renewal form in a timely fashion, so we were about to be cancelled off Medicaid.

'Wog and I don't remember getting any such form, so they said they'd mail us a new one and we can drop it by their office (which is down the hill from us) so that'll be easy--if they send the form (the deadline is Saturday and we need to get it in before that).

How is everyone else? I'm trying to put up more than just a good morning here; authors are getting pretty picky about how much of an article I can include. I have to keep to 'common use', or some such, standards--and that's about a paragraph. So, please bear with me.

BTW--Do any of you have back problems--and what do you do about it?

  2. Dear Froggy, I'm 'common' and 'use' your stuff. Sooo... what's the problem?(Grin)
Since, 'Wog didn't want to 'break dance' how about the 'Hokey Pokey'(Grin again)
    Good morning, ladies!

  6. Mornin'. I didn't know there was a Peanut fish in the pond. Who else would get my vote? After reading what Paget is going through with Chance I am wondering if I can do anything to avoid tooth problems with Peanut. Is there a product to use?

About your back problem, Do you do the ice-heat treatment? That is what chiropractors recommend. Ice reduces swelling and helps with inflammation. If you don't have a large gel pac use a hand towel or piece of old denim. Wet the cloth, put it in a plastic bag and freeze it. 15 mins ice and 15 mjns heat. You can do this every hour. Ice doesn't feel as good as heat but it works better to shrink swelling.

DSHS is down the hill? how far is that? Could Wog go down and pickup the form in person? (Sorry Wog.) I was just thinking that could speed things up. Husband used to work for DSHS as a Financial Worker. Social workers are a breed unto themselves. They are the ones that weild the power and you wouldn't want to miss thier deadline (sarcasm.)

Lovin' on the Pond People and dem catz!

    1. 'WOG can walk down the hill, but I always take the bus back up. Sometime I take the escalator up inside the Convention Center. Then it's not a bad hike home.

I have to go vote on fish!

  7. Morning, Ponders (including Phooey - ha!)

I had to vote for my Boomer. Don't tell Puffin or Bambu.

I'm off to get my mammogram. This should be the last of my "annual" appointments. (I think I'm getting a sore throat, but it may just be pollen).

    See ya'll later.

  8. Good luck with your mamm, Eva--tell us how it comes out.

Thanks Gloria--we're watching those deadlines close--if we don't get it in the mail, 'Woggy'll walk down and get it. It's on 2nd street and we're on 1000 or 8th, but it's all downhill and the bus will take her most of the way. We'll get her done this week--deadline is Sat. Ask your hubs why are they so tight assed there?

I want to vote for Puffin and Bu too; they understand why dear Booms got your vote this year Eva--escpecially if you let them sleep in your bed!

PhooBad, you never tell me how you're feeling!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr......

    1. Being tight assed is a prerequisite for the job. Hubs is not that way though. Being married to me cured him - HA! DSHS is super political whic is why he retired early. Run by women who hate men. Did you know that our Govenor worked for DSHS Regional office in Everett while getting her law degree? She wasn't a lawyer for long before entering politics.

  10. I must share this. Page and I went to lunch this afternoon. Their was a table of 5/6 elderly women playing cards at our favorite watering hole... one jumps up screaming 'I'm not going to show you my ass!'... she mean't to say... ACE! I lost it! along with 20/30 other customers in the restaurant. Learn to love old Pharts... you will be one someday!
