  1. Good mornin' Ponders. It's Friday! The sun is out this morning and it looks like a lovely day. If my energy level stays high I may get some outdoor work done today.

    Froggy, Peanut says hey.

  3. Good Morning, all!

It's storming out. It's on and off, but real weather. I'm glad I did my shopping and don't have to go out in it! Boy, does it make me want to sleep. I feel guilty, though. There are things to do around the house. Some of my sleepiness, I'll blame on the meds I'm taking. They make me kind of loopy. Still full of snot, but getting better every day.

See ya'll later. Puffin & Bambu send their love (especially to Peanut).

    1. Well, don't try too much too soon, hon--make yourself rest. I have to tell 'Woggy that all the time. She feels guilty if she's not up and doing, too!

  4. I managed to get home from work through the thunderstorms and tornadoes. I was in danger of a tornado at work, but we have a basement and felt safe. A break in the storms came around 5:00 and I skeedaddled for home. The second round came after I was safe at home. Driving rain, LOUD thunder and lightning on the drive home, but no tornadoes. I think we're supposed to have another dangerous storm tonight and a break in the morning (when I can get to the bank and grocery store). Tomorrow afternoon is supposed to be WAY worse than today. I'm prepared, have a safe "fraidy hole" to go to if the tornado sirens go off.

I'll tell you this: Tornadoes in Oklahoma are a lot less scary than earthquakes in California. You KNOW when the danger of a tornado is coming and can take measures to protect yourself. An earthquake just comes right out of the blue, with no warning. Plus, I really like thunder and lightening.

Will keep my dear Ponders posted tomorrow (unless the power goes out).

    1. We all want you to be safe, Surfie. Lke you I really like thunder and lightning storms. I sleep like a baby when we have wind storms. We do not have tornadoes though.

    2. I saw the warnings on DRUDGE and went right away to see if they'd go through Oklahoma--I'll be praying for you, hon!

    3. We're definitely praying for you! I was thinking about you today while it was pouring rain. We had exactly 2 sharp claps of thunder and a couple of lightening flashes. Then it was all over and the sun came out. Typical. I'm with you on the diff between earthquakes and tornados! As scary as a tornado is, at least you know it's coming.

  5. Is everyone home and safe tonight? We heard that there were bad storms in Oklahoma. Tornados and earthquakes are the scariest.

I am taking the evening off from homework. The school gives us Mondays off for appointments or to do homework or to make up class time. Or, in my case, to rest!

  6. If you have time this weekend, take a look at the video Froggy posted, "Obama Gets Lecture From Female President of Brazil." He sits calmly, then starts to fidget...and fidget, and ...
