  1. Hi Folks! Blogger has decided to change the way it does things, so I have to pick my way through posting images and articles again. They're famous for 'fixin' what ain't broke'. It might be slow going for awhile. (grins) I hope is well, so come on down and let me know how your week is taking shape.

    1. I'm still doing it at home, Phoo. I had to cancel my appt. If I can't walk well enough or far enough to catch a cab downstairs and walk the hospital grounds, it's a no go. I don't snap back like I did when I was young, so this is going to take some time. How are you feeling?

    2. I'm sorry Your Froggyness, was hoping for a better report. Doing OK here, just tired. Going to bed early tonight. As a treat, gave the dogs fried liver tonight.... they almost ate their bowls. What fun! Love always!

  3. Frog, sorry you couldn't make it to outside PT but happy you feel good enough to do it at home. You sound terrific!

    Take care, dear Phooey.

Well, I made it through Monday! I stay so busy at work that the days fly by. I'm making Chicken Piccata for dinner and watching the Thunder basketball game. My son and I have been playing phone tag for days. Hopefully, we'll connect tonight. I want to hear his voice!

    Take care, gang!

  4. Hi Ponders!

I'm getting a chance to check in, so I wanted to say my flight was fine and there were no airport hassles. It's just such a long day: getting up at 4:15 am, getting to LAX at 6:15, flight left at 7:45. Got to Atlanta at 3:00pm east coast time and got the shuttle to Athens at 4:15. Got to Athens at 6pm where my Dad picked me up from the Holiday Inn and took me home. So, long day.

Just got back from spending the day with the munchkin. I'm exhaused!!!!! That little boy has an incredible amount of energy and needs constant diversion. Tomorrow, we head to the library for Story Time and then to my niece's Mommy & Me group. Then I'm going to be ready for a nap myself!!

    Love to you all.

  5. I have a bit of a dilemma and ask my Pond friends for your opinion. Two very young dogs (I'm thinking 6 months old) showed up where I work. We have fed them and gave them water. They are both female. One is white and looks like a pittbull/boxer mix. The other is black and looks like a lab/pointer mix.

We would keep them and love them as our junkyard dog mascots, except they poop all over the place. My boss wants me to put them on craigslist as free to a good home. I worry about that, as many people adopt free dogs with shy dispositions as bait for dog fights. The only other option is to send them to the pound.

They are lovely little girls, very sweet. I don't really know what to do.

  6. Thinking an ad in a local paper would be better however, he is your boss.

    1. Hi, Surfie. Do you have an ASPCA or shelter in your area? There should be some organization that does pet adoptions. Maybe calling a local pet store for info on who to contact. You have a tender heart.

    2. I just googled Oklahoma City animal rescue groups. Holy Cow! you have 20 times the options that we have. You should have no problem finding a help group.

  7. Hi all,

Surfie, all the ideas above are good.

I work with a rescue group, and I'm not sure what is available in your area, but our paper has free advertising for lost and found pets. I'd try contacting some of the rescue groups in your area. Maybe one of them could foster the dogs while they found them a home? Craigslist is also good, but please tell your boss not to advertise them as free. You're right - you could attract some bad people that way.

You are very kindhearted, and I wish you luck! :)
