You've just gotta run water on that tummy!

  1. Oh, God... I went to PT yesterday and am tore up from head to toe. I can't believe it--he doesn't make me do that much! I didn't realize such small movements of your muscles could hurt so much the next day! Yowza!

How's everyone else? 'Woggy was in such a rush, and I got up so late that I only had time for a quick kiss on her frogcheek and 'be careful' and 'good bye, honey'. What's on for today?

    1. Froggy, isn't that the most amazing feeling? I remember once taking an exercise class after an extended period of being sedentary. It was a beginners class, so I thought I was safe. The next day, I could barely walk! I was going to a friend's house to meet someone in her family who just came for a visit, and later I found out that they were watching me from the window. My friend's relative asked what my problem was because I walked soooooo slowly. This was over 30 years ago and I remember it now. I literally had trouble putting one foot in front of the other, it hurt so much. Everything I did for over a week, was done in slow motion. I hope it doesn't take you that long to recover from yesterday's PT!

    2. Eva! I'm so glad you're home safe! Did you have a nice trip? Sounds like you did, but you're always fun. Did Joe batch it well enough by himself and take care of my boys?

Long to recover??? I just had to do 'em again!!! Now I don't feel like lunch. Jeez, I can barely do one WHOLE minute on the treadmill I hope something gets fixed eventually. And to think I used to go on 16 mile rides on my bike and walk to school a mile every day when I was a kid!

    1. Naw, kitties are soft a warm and give you 'bunnies' (rub their head on yours) on your head and put their furry little arms around your neck--as long as you don't run water on 'em.

      How's my Phoo?

    2. You'll be so sorry if you turn on the water on this sweet kitty's tummy. You're right Phooey, The Beast in the Bowl. Sounds like a name for a great B-movie!

    3. You're right, 'Wog! Great name for one of those B-movies we like so much. They're so bad, they're good.

  4. I can't believe that it is noon. I have gotten a whole lot of nothin' done so far. Good morning, all.

Froggy, try not to get discouraged with the PT. It may seem like torture at first. Ask if there is anything you can do to lessen the discomfort. Like heat or epsom salt soaks. Those guys are trained and there to help you get better.

    1. I'm not discouraged--I'm actually quite grateful to have the opportunity to go. They're going to change it all again in July, so that make 'you can keep your own doctor' Obamacare responsible for 4 changes for me in a year and and a half and once for my sister. 5 changes in one househosehold in a year and a half--unbelievable.

  5. Just have a few minutes between classes. Unhappy 'WOG.
Yesterday I laid my reading glasses on the bed; of course, I forgot!
I threw the covers back (which covered up the glasses) and I sat down on the bed ...or rather, I sat on the glasses. Crunch snap mangle!

This morning I grabbed my school bag, backpack, food, ran out the door, and down the hall. Caught the elevator, ran down another hall. Slammed through the last door to the outside world. So far, so good. Until...

Do you really want to know! Do you really...!

The bus stop was closed. The city is doing repairs to the sidewalk and trimming trees. Poor me, the Sweetest Little 'WOG had to walk down the hill to another bus stop, lugging all my book bags..and food. But I still made it to school on time.

    Froggy, Dear beat-upon, over-exercised Froggy...
I have off this weekend and the following Monday and Tuesday. Also the next Friday. From then on til Sept I will have off every Friday.

Next quarter starts June 20 (have school Weds and Thursday only that week), Friday off all summer.

  6. WOG, some days are just like that! Haven't had one in a while, I know the feeling.

Froggy, I'm sorta hyper in that I walk real fast, but I don't actually exercise. Last week I did about 10 minutes of itsy bitsy exercises while watching TV and felt like I'd been run over by a truck the next day! Back when I used to actually exercise on a regular basis, I was told to exercise every other day so my muscles could recover.

I'm getting ready to make some tuna salad and get cozy on the couch for the 1st NBA Championship game between OKC Thunder and Miami Heat. OKC is rocking and rolling!

Page does water aerobics 2/3 times a week at the Y. She loves it.
