It's Monday!

Good Morning, Happy Ponders!

  1. Well, this is not one of my better days--both of us are having trouble sleeping--and 'Woggy has school today. I've been eating an awful lot of strawberries lately--out here, they've been perfect and cheap. 'Wogette has been bringing home 2 pound boxes of 'em and they sure disappear quick! My stomach isn't so happy; I really need to ease up.

I just read that clause in Obamacare they so underplayed: states (esp. the broker ones) don't HAVE to give you MEDICAID. There's some people who just won't have medical care--and I sure don't know where they draw the line--or what they're going to do with them. I don't have kids, so this leaves me real scared. Whether or not you have kids is always where they've drawn the line before with MEDICAID.

    How is everyone? Paget?

  2. No one can sum it up better than Trump:

Let me get this straight . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't! Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese , and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!

'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

  3. Phooey, I think you've got it right! And we didn't read it either.

    1. Phooey, I don't know where this came from but I am saving it to pass around.

This is an example of how we have people that would never make it to be VP but could be used in a Cabinet position.

    2. Gloria, this was a 'Must Read' on Lucianne under 'Words to Live By' Sunday.

    3. Me too! I will print it out, and paste it next to my computer at home. If anything..it will remind me about the differences between democrats and Republicans!

    5. I know, Gloria! I saw that, too. First, my jaw dropped. Then I started giggling. Man, he does not suffer fools gladly! We sure could use someone like that in D.C.

  4. I was on the Connection and noticed that Bettijo posted something that was removed from Politics wall by staff. I have a sick sense of curiosity. Wonder what it was.

Last night was not good for sleeping and Peanut didn't help things.

    1. The Connection? I'd like to know. Guess we'll never find out. Think I'll go over and look around.

Do you think sleep was "iffy" because it was Sunday night. I sleep poorly when I need to get up on Monday morning.

  5. For some reason, Puffin wasn't too disrupting last night, but as soon as the morning sun broke, he wouldn't shut up. I really would have preferred to sleep past 5:30am, but it was not to be.

Listening to Rush talk about how upset he still is about the Roberts decision didn't make me feel much better. From now until November, it'll be up to us all to educate people about what this law really does. They just don't get it.

  6. I'm doing my part by educating the young people I work with who are totally clueless. Once they're educated, I'll get them registered to vote if they aren't already. I don't know what else I can do.

Finally felt human today for the first time in a long time. Had to run some Saturday errands, but spent the rest of the weekend resting. Also made a huge pot of Asian chicken & veggie soup with tons of garlic and ginger. Don't know if that helped, but it sure tasted good!

I have another prayer request. A young man at work who has been depressed for some time now threatened to commit suicide over the weekend. His roommates called the police. I don't know where they took him because everybody is being very hush hush. His name is Tim. He isn't the smartest person in the world, but he is sweet and kind and works hard. I have a mushy place in my heart for Tim. Please pray for him.

    Smooches!

    1. Surfie, you can always count on your Pond Family to send love and prayers to Tim. Please, let us know how he's doing. I hope that he can find a peaceful place in his heart.

  7. Time for a little 'WOG chatter...
Phooey, I printed out what Trump said, and have it pasted by my computer. Will read it everyday so I don't forget what happened.

Gloria, Chris Cristy is okay with me! We need a lot of new people in our government because we need to make a lot of changes... before it's too late to change anything. Does that make sense?

Surfie, you go girl! Keep training. It's the young people that need to see the difference between Dem and Republican governing.
