Monday Greetings!

  1. Gosh. I feel like I spent the night in a toaster. We finally got some warm weather. I'm up and getting ready for school.

How's everyone doing this beautiful Monday?

Joe Biden is in Seattle today. Who knows why! Who cares!

  2. Interesting piece of news from Utah. It's pretty obvious that a whole lot of people are dissatisfied with Obama!

"HUNTSVILLE, Utah — A parade entry portraying President Barack Obama and using the term “Obamanation” has made some angry, and others upset at the negative attention.

It happened in the city’s annual Fourth of July parade.

The float showed a person dressed as President Obama with one sign that read “Huntsville Welcomes Obama’s Farewell Tour?” On the back, another sign said, “Ask about our assault gun plan. Call Eric Holder.”

On one side of the issue, people are saying the float was disrespectful and had no place in a patriotic parade. The other side says it was all in good fun."

  3. I saw that story, Wog. Of course, they made a fuss about it. This administration has the thinnest skin and is the least able to take a joke than any of them.

  4. Today we are one day closer to the election. Keep your eyes on November.

I have decided to head back to that beach and spend another day lazing in the sun.

  6. Love that picture and caption! I'm a morning person, but it takes me a few minutes to get the cobwebs out first thing in the morning.

Gloria, what a brilliant and inspiring thing to say ... "Today we are one day closer to the election." I'm gonna try to remember that every day.

How's everybody feeling? Doing anything interesting?

  8. Eva and Surfie, do either of you remember the Big Pink Bus? For everyone else it was the beach bus (painted hot pink.) The bus ran every day all summer long, the route was Beach Bulevard starting around Buena Park and straight down Beach Blvd to Huntington Beach then back again. Packed with kids. It was still going in '78 when we moved north. What a summer memory.

  9. Gloria, I don't remember it and I moved out here in 1976. I love the idea of a pink bus! I'm with you as far as spending another day at the beach. After listening to the bs coming from Obama today, I just want to tune it all out and listen to the waves. It was in the mid-90's here, too.

    One day closer, yes.

  10. Just read the posts. Takes time to adjust to being home after school all day, and then bus rides. How does everyone unwind from a busy day?

Gloria, I don't remember the Pink Bus, but it sounds delightful. I do remember the Greeter at Laguna Beach. I think the old guy stood on the street corner for 33 years. (I cheated and looked it up on Wikipedia!)

On the way home about 4pm, my bus took a street over the freeway. There were a couple cops parked at the overpass. The bus slowed so we could look. Strange sight. The freeway going out of town was solid with cars; the freeway into Seattle was empty. that meant that Biden had not arrived. About half an hour later, a big helicopter flew by towards the downtown hotel area. I wonder how much that helicopter cost the taxpayers?

Going to Drudge now. There's some news about Rahm and 38% increase in Chicago murder rate. Hmmmmmm...

    1. Yes, yes. The Greeter, his name was Greer Larsen and kind of looked like a Rip Van Winkle character.

Joe Bidet... here to help Maria Cantwell and Inslee. Dear God help us to vote these people out of office.

  11. I read this on FoxNews tonight. Another unethical dem thief. Let's see if the Ethics Committee has follow-through on this allegation!

"The House Ethics Committee has launched an investigation of conflict of interest allegations against Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev.

The launch of the probe throws a wrench into Berkley’s campaign to unseat Sen. Dean Heller, a Republican. The race is widely viewed as one that could help determine which party controls the Senate.

Berkley is alleged to have improperly pushed for higher Medicare reimbursement rates for a kidney transplant program at a Las Vegas hospital where her husband, a nephrologist, works."

“It speaks volumes that even Shelley Berkley’s Democrat colleagues unanimously voted to move forward investigating Berkley’s use of her office to enrich her and her husband," committee Director Rob Jesmer said. "Since Berkley entered the political arena we’ve seen a long pattern of ethical questions surrounding her conduct. Nevadans deserve someone in the Senate who they can trust to work on their behalf and not someone like Ms. Berkley."
