Thursday ..Enjoy your day

Another beautiful day

  1. Good Morning, everyone! Froggy, I'm so glad that your foot is almost all healed. That really is amazing.

Shots in your wrist? Yikes! That would scare me, too. You'll probably be able to wiggle your fingers afterwards, though. Just don't watch.

Bambu is getting better, I think. 4 more days of the antibiotic and then another blood test to see if his white blood cell count is still elevated. I've been spending the days trying different types of foods to tempt him to eat more. It scares me to be able to feel his bones. He & Puff have always been thin, but this is too much.

It's supposed to get up to 102 today. Beautiful out, but too hot and not at all Fall-like.

    Surfie, how are you feeling?

    1. Gosh, I wrote Bambu's name instead of mine! Shows where my mind is!

    2. Eva, that was sweet that Bambu wrote to Froggy. We hope that he is doing better too, and that he finds something he likes to eat. Cats can be so picky about their food.

Gosh, 102.. It makes me hot just to hear that. It's been so hot everywhere this summer. We always try to live near the beach just to be cooler. Very few places have air conditioning in Seattle because we seldom need it. But it would have been nice this summer.

    3. Hi Bambu, LOL, you're a fine fellow to be writing me! I hope you feel better soon. Try to eat more for your Mama, and be good when you get your antibiotic, and I hope you'll write me again!

  2. Mornin' to everyone. Our weather is changing from cool in the morning to very warm by afternoon. Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Be encouraged. Remember that God is in charge.

Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee (Jeremiah 32:17).

    1. Good Monrin' to you too, Gloria...The sunshine is nice, but the cool weather is nicer! We are having cool evenings in Seattle. We sit in front of fan all day waiting for the cool to roll in off the ocean. Looking at the weather channel, the Northeast must be the only cool place today.

I have errands to run this morning, you know...all those things you put off til the last minute. See ya later this afternoon.

    2. Thank you for the scripture, Gloria--it always makes me feel better. Last night I especially prayed for those getting out the hell hole that is North Korea. Christians are helping to smuggle them to a border state into which they may cross and make their way back to South Korea. It's dangerous work, though and one for which they can be sentenced to jail--and I hate to tell you about the forced organ donations going on there. What a nightmare!

      Where's our Phoo?

  3. Froggy, where were you reading about that. I'm interested.

  4. Hi, Ponders. I'm feeling better. Am beginning to wonder of the weather, high allergy content here (especially high right now) have anything to do with it. We go from the mid-50's at night to about 90 during the day. And it's windy.

Remember my friend, Karen? I ask all of you to pray special prayers for her. She is having brain surgery a week from tomorrow. The tumor is benign but the size of a tennis ball. It (they think) has destroyed her right optic nerve and is dangerously close to a major blood vessel. The surgery will take 8 hours. She has been advised that they might not be able to get all of it, she might have a serious stroke, the blood vessel might rupture (causing immediate death). She is a woman of faith and trusting God wants her to stay with us here on Planet Earth, but she is scared. When talking with her today, she started to crack then pulled herself back. Please pray for Karen, her family, for great wisdom and skill to her surgeon.

I love you all, Ponders. I know you will pray.

    2. Surfie, let Karen know that we will be with her. She must be so terribly scared.

    3. I'll certainly add my prayers to yours. Please tell us how she's doing.

  5. I'm praying already. I can't imagine how she must feel facing this. One thing is for sure, she'll have the power of all of us with her as she goes through her surgery.
