  1. Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a great weekend and Mother's Day. Monday, Page and I celebrate our 47th anniversary, thinking I'll get her a new mop or can opener. Has anyone finished watching the movie Grinding America Down? Ya'll are loved!

    1. Wowza! You two lovebirds are 4 years ahead of us. May you have many more wonderful years.

Phoo, have you heard the gifts that Larry Eldridge gives his wife? He gave her a chainsaw. The house they have lived in has trees in the back of their property. It was fine at first but now the trees have grown and are spoiling HIS view. He thought SHE would like to go out and cut down the trees to improve the view. HA HA

I have watched the first 1/2 hour of Grinding America Down, sent the link to BIL and He sent it on to some more people. I have to be in the right mood. America has bought a bill of goods. To many sheeple.

    2. Phoo, the longer I live with Scott the more I appreciate his kindness, his decency, his intelligence and his sense of humor.

  2. Gloria, many years ago recall Rush saying he was going to buy his mother a can opener so that she could open her dog food for her meal, also remember Walter Williams claiming he bought his wife a new mop for Christmas. Now you know my sources. Congratulations for your long marriage. Committed to our oaths and forgiveness got us through the tough times.

Loved your stories. Congratulations, Phooey and Page, on those 47 years. Gloria, you and Scott will have that 47 years too.

  4. Hubs gave me my very own, fully stocked toolbox one year. Even though it was to keep me out of his tools, I was thrilled!

Congrats to you long-married Ponders! Hubs and I were only married for 25 years. The most precious thing, to me, was staying together during the hard times because when we got through them, we were even more in love and even closer best friends. Then you throw in the history and how healthy it is for the children. Sweet! Congratulations to you.

TGIF even though I'll be at work tomorrow morning. Saturdays are OK with me because I get so much done without being interrupted all the time. Love the paycheck!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
