  2. Dibs on the orange kitties!

I really should have gone to work today, but decided NO. Decided to spend Mother's Day weekend taking care of myself.

I'm out the door right now to get my hair trimmed and my car washed. When I get home, I'll figure out what I want to cook next week and buy groceries. You know I must be weird because I like going to the grocery store once a week.

Tomorrow, my son will call and we will have a long and wonderful conversation. Love that boy! I'll also give myself a mani/pedi, do laundry, clean my house. Love taking the weekend off and nesting.

Eva, your family is in my daily prayers. All Ponders, too.

    Love you all!

    1. Hi Surfie,
The orange (oinge) cats are yours! The big white fluffy one in front looks like our Wolfie..except Da Wolf is buff colored.

You must be so anxious waiting for your son to call tomorrow. He seems like such a sweet guy.

  3. Happy weekend, Mothers Day, anniversary to all Ponders! May everyone have a wonderful relaxing couple of days. It's going to be sunny and in the high 90's here in SoCal. The cats will love it.

My sister is hanging in. She's bored to tears most of the time, but she'll have to learn to deal with it for a few more months. We need to keep her in her undisclosed location and not let her have a computer. Her husband, unable to find her, is harassing my niece with visits from the police. 3 times in the past week, they've come knocking on her door (late at night, early in the morning), saying they've been called by someone in Massachusetts who told them it was an emergency and to come to this address to ask her mother to call up there. Each time, my niece tells them her mother doesn't live with her and that the person calling them is her abusive husband who abandoned her. I think we've got it stopped now by calling the station chief and explaining the situation. My father has contacted a criminal lawyer. And so it goes...

    1. Eva,
Thanks for all the greetings. That's sweet of you to remember everyone when you have such worries of your own. Abusive husbands are a scary guys. I don't know where they come from. I can't believe that he calling the cops. He's lost control of your sister, and that will drive him nutty. Be careful.

    2. Thank you, too, 'Wog. I get a lot from coming here and reading about what everyone else is doing.

  4. Whoops! I made a terrible mistake. Our anniversary is the 28th not the 13th! Head held in shame. Page's birthday was on April 13..... that's why I picked the wrong day. Again, head lowered in shame!
Eva, sorry you and your family have to go through these trying times. May the Grace of God give comfort to You your sister and family. All good works are recorded in The Book of Life. Peace.
I don't want any more cats! After replacing two whole house carpets and padding and living on plywood subfloor for months while I was constantly mopping the plywood with vinegar to get the odor out...... never more quoth the raven..... never more.
    Have a great Sunday ladies.

    1. Oh Deer Phooey..We love ya no matter what dates you pick. I understand about the kitties. We've always had good babies.

We had a sweet little black dog the size of a cocker in Denver, but no backyard. So I had to run him down a flight of stairs and out the front door. That became difficult when he got old and I got old, and it was snowing outside. I lost hime a couple times when he dashed out the door before I could put the leash on him. Had to drive around a couple hours to find him. When it snowed, he must have wondered how I found him so fast. Just followed all those feet-prints in the snow.

    2. Oh, goodness, Phooey! How could you forget the date? Well, at least you got the month right and that has to count for something :)

Thanks you for your nice words!

  5. Hiya, Hiya Woggie! Thanks for the pass. When we were living in NC, our little black dachshund/something mix would run out into our driveway with snow twice her height in circles and jump in it like a rabbit. She loved it. So did we. We cherish those simple memories.

    1. I loved our little dog. Got him as a puppy. He used to get all excited to ride in the car. As the vet told us, "He's a good little friend."

  6. Gloria, Paget...
Does anyone know about the Delta Dental plans. I'd like to sign Froggy up, but I'm not sure it's a good idea. She needs some work done. And anything would help. We just don't understand insurance very well.

I'm writing kind of late today. If no one answers today, I'll ask again tomorrow.
