  1. It's Friday, and I'm as frisky as the two kittens in today's picture. We are enjoying our last morning of cool weather. We've got shorts. The fans are ready. Lots of cold water in the frig. Bring on the hot days! Froggy's house is ready!

  2. Happy Friday, everyone!

Wog, I'm so ready for some hot weather. This spring was so long and wet! You just know we're going to hear from the global warmers with this predicted hot spell. I just want to say to them, Calm down people! It's called "summer"! Geez!

I've been reading your posts this week, but have spent every spare minute after work, cleaning, and preparing for daughter and family (baby Kaden!) who will be arriving this afternoon. Then tomorrow is our big BBQ which is the reason I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off! I'm not the most organized person in the world, ha, understatement of the year! However, I keep trying.

I'm so impressed with Eva who is packing so far in advance of the move. That is the way to do it! From what I've read, that is what Surfie, Wog, and Froggy also did before their moves. Smart, smart, ladies!

Froggy, so glad you made it through your dentist ordeal. I went to see my dentist for a checkup this week, and it was okay. I've been going to the same dentist for the last 45 years, and I really trust him. One of these days he will retire, then I will panic!

Phooey, I loved your wasp story! It was hilarious! One of these days I'll share some of my husband's fire escapades.

Gloria, I might have missed it, but I remember you said you'd find out about your surgery on Thursday. Hope all is well.

Prayers for all of you deer friends.

I have to get back to my cleaning and cooking. Have a great weekend!

    1. Paget,
Baby Kaden must be growing so fast. I know that you'll be busy with your family...and spoiling Kaden. Give us an update when you have time.

  3. Hey everybody. Boy is it humid here! Scott and I are trying to catch up on yard work. We have to go at it little bits at a time. Trying to get rid of weeds and put down mor bark.

I got the test results yesterday. Everything is okey dokey. Except that I am on a once a year schedule now.

I am scheduled for dental work on the 8th. Not looking forward to it.

By the way Froggy, you and Wog were talking about snapdragons. One of my faves, so I had to plant a few (white.)

  4. Wasn't Phooey's tree story funny? (I'm surprised Ms. Page lets him out without a keeper....!) Gloria, your husband doesn't play well with matches either? Ha!

Paget, tell us how Kaden is doing--he's growing fast! Are you as humid as we are over here? Wow!

  5. What adorable little furballs!

Have fun with your family, Paget. Give little Kaden a smooch from Aunt Surfie!

Gloria, thrilled your results were so good. YAY YAY YAY!!!!!

Remember my friend Karen? I work with her daughter Lauren. Today is Lauren's daughter Madeleine's 7th birthday. Anyway, the whole gang are going to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. They serve a Wasabi crusted seared Ahi tuna that is fantastic. My mouth is watering!

Today was brutal at work (last business day of the month). I was so busy, it went by in the blink of an eye. TGIF!!!!!

    1. Hi Surfie,
Happy Friday. Sounds like you are ready for the weekend. I know about last day of the month. Gotta get everything done. That Ahi tuna sounds scrumptious. Good start to the weekend.

  6. It has been a weird week for me.

A couple of things I forgot to mention.

First, about Paula Deen. A woman was being interviewed abour the lawsuit against Paula. She let the cat out of the bag and said that Rainbow Push (Jessie Jackson) had started the lawsuit. They were digging for anything that would take her down. They have ruined her. It was 30 years ago!

Second, while the nurse was getting me ready to go into the operating room she wanted to know if I was fearful at home? Was I afraid of being hurt at home? What???? Was I in danger of being hurt at home? I was waiting for her to ask me if I had a gun. My dear sweet husband of 43 years was sitting right there. Now is that weird or what?

    1. Gloria,
Jessie Jackson? I haven't heard that name in a long time. If he didn't make money doing these things, he wouldn't do them. I think Paula Deen will survive like Rush survived. I hope so.

Don't understand what your nurse was trying to get at. It was an odd question.
