  1. It's rainy and very windy here, so grumpy sounds like a good way to be.

Surfie, how's Janice? She's in my thoughts and prayers.

'Wog, how's Froggy doing today? I hope she sleeps a lot and thinks healing thoughts. I don't blame her for wanting to use the walker more than the wheelchair, but if that's what is needed to heal faster, then that's what she needs to do.

Love to everyone and I'll check in later.

  2. Hi gang. We'll be dog sitting again this weekend. Surfie, Page and I went through the same thing as Janice with Page's mother....it's heartbreaking. With Mom's last breaths she was able to keep saying... I love you....I love you....I love you....

Right now, I'm waving wildly at Froggy screaming I love YOU!

  3. Hi Eva, Hey Phooey, Howdy Pond Family,
Froggy is resting a lot. I left the bathroom light on all night so she wouldn't wander around in the dark. I worked today at Salvation Army thrift store, then stopped at hospital and brought home dinner ( baked chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies, dinner roll, jello. I gout of cooking this evening.

Surfie, we are praying for Janice even if we don't hear from you.

  4. POLITICS IS GOOD FOR A LAUGH..SOMETIMES:

Christmas spirit dies at White House as ornament-hawking gift shop goes broke

In another sign of the tough times in Washington these days, the White House Gift Shop, long run by a nonprofit group that helps uniformed Secret Service officers and their families, has gone broke. The Secret Service Uniformed Division Benefit Fund, which traces its roots to the 1940s and for years did business as the official White House Gift Shop, lists more than $600,000 in liabilities in a pending bankruptcy petition in Washington.

The fund — which operated independently of the White House and Secret Service, and was not a part of the government — disclosed tens of thousands of dollars in assets consisting mostly of Christmas decorations, as well as such trinkets as magnets, puzzles and paperweights, many valued at just a few dollars each.

The price of more than 140 Democratic and Republican mouse pads is listed as “???” in court records, while 10 unsold copies of the book “Adams’ Alligator” go for $8.48.

  5. HOW MANY "RACIST DOGS" DO YOU KNOW:

'Racist' LA police dogs only bite Latinos and African-Americans

Police officers in Los Angeles have long faced accusations of institutional racism, but now it appears their dogs may be unjustly discriminatory, too.

A new report focusing on the Canine Special Detail of the LA Sherriff’s Department (LASD) has uncovered a vast increase in the number of minority individuals bitten by police dogs since 2004.

And in the first six months of this year, every single victim of a bite by a LASD dog was African-American or Latino. The data was published in a new report by the Police Assessment Resource Centre (Parc), a Los Angeles-based non-profit organisation, devoted to “advancing effective and accountable policing”.

According to Parc records, the number of Latino individuals bitten by LASD canines went up 30 per cent between 2004 and 2012, from 30 to 39 bites. The number of African-Americans bitten increased by 33 per cent over the same period.
