  1. Good morning Ponders. Froggy, glad you are home again. Wog, hope you are able to fight off that cold.

I haven't had much to say lately. There are few safe topics that I can comment on with out my hair catching on fire. I feel like I am mentally wiped out.

Am leaving tomorrow morn for eastern Washington. One week with the grands. I have a feeling that I won't be able to go back till spring. Sad about that. I miss a lot.

Did I tell you that our son Steve got a job in February? Well, it gets better. I have been so thankful since the job seemed just right for him, just happy for a job any job. He got a promotion, a raise and benefits that start in 90 days! I remember telling God that when my family gets blessed, I get blessed. So thankful.

  2. Gloria, you are not alone! I can barely put a sentence together without struggling with my emotions. Godspeed with your trip. What great news regarding Steve! And, never forget YOU have been a blessing to all of us! Prayers and love your way.

  3. Phooey is right that you have been a blessing to us, Gloria. Great news about Steve's job. Hope he loves it. Have a safe trip and a great time with the grands! Can we get some pictures?

Hang in there, everyone. It's always darkest before the dawn. I'm pretty good about dragging myself into just the present moment when things get tough. At this present moment, I'm home and safe and cooking myself some dinner. And loving the fact that tomorrow is TGIF!

  5. Phooey and Surfie,
Yep, I still have cold. A lot of coughing. No sore throat, and I'm tired. I need to work18 hours every week, so I have three more hours to do on Friday. So I agree about TGIF.

  6. I definitely second the words and thoughts of Phooey & Surfie, Gloria. It's an emotional, roller coaster time for us all. I feel as though I have a lump in my throat all the time. I'm either sad, angry, frustrated, or confused. I've never felt so helpless.

'Wog, please take care of yourself!!

  7. Thank you for thinking of us, Eva. When I get over this cold, I can handle things better. Your description of American life is pretty accurate. I try not to think of our government, but it's always there behind everything we do.

  8. Hope everyone starts feeling better soon, physically and emotionally. I'm going to spend the weekend ignoring what's going on in the world. Will keep praying for our country. An army of prayer warriors is IMHO, the only thing that will save us.

GLORIA, of course we want pictures! Even better if we get a picture of YOU with the family!

  10. Hi All, I took Froggy back to hospital yesterday. She just didn't seem right. Maybe I'm getting over-sensitive to symptoms. She have some "germs" in her blood. Staph or strep. They said probably from when they "stuck" her for something. They have poking at her with all kinds of needles and IVs. I'll be glad to have our life back to normal. Hopefully we can come home tomorrow.

I'm writing from home. Just had to go outside. The sun broke through the fog, and it looked beautiful outside... but it was brrrr cold!. Seems that everyone at The Pond is doing okay. Love to Everyone.

  11. Let us know what today brings, 'Wog. I'm sorry Froggy had to go back to the hospital. I was hoping this last time she came home, it would be for good. We're all thinking of her and praying for you both!!

  13. This is just a quick note. I promised Froggy that I wouldn't be gone long. She is ready to be home. Her arms are all bruised from needle pokes. She uncomfortable. I have a sleeping chair beside the bed, and I stay all night. We are watching NCIS today. Isn't Georgia playing football? I can't keep up from he hospital. Love to everyone. I'm on my way back to hospital.

  14. Georgia had a bye week. They'd better be getting ready for next week's game against Florida. It doesn't matter, though. UGA is out of the running for anything other than a toilet Bowl game since they have 2 SEC losses. Alabama is once again running away with the Conference. Surfie, the Sooners won yesterday, right?

I know Froggy is ready to come home for good and you're getting tired of sleeping in a chair, 'Wog. Soon.

  15. Hi, deers. Wog, how are you and Froggy doing? I'm sure you're both worn out. Hope you can check in this evening and let us know how everything is. As always, you both are in our prayers.

    Love to all!
