  1. ISN'T THIS A MOVIE PLOT?

New Jersey reptile expert reportedly told to 'keep mouth shut' about anaconda on loose
    Published July 19, 2014 / FoxNews.com

A reptile expert said Friday that he wants to go "on the record" and confirm that New Jersey authorities are searching for an anaconda, not a boa constrictor in the state's largest lake.

"I was sworn to keep my mouth shut by local officials to avoid causing a panic," Gerald Andrejcak, the specialist, told NJ.com. "Now that there's a panic, I'm going on the record."

He said when the snake was called a boa, it wasn't exactly a lie, because the snakes are technically in the same family. However, anacondas, made famous by the 1997 Jennifer Lopez movie, can send chills through a community because their diet consists of deer and other large mammals. They also and have no natural predators.

    1. Hi EC, I am so sorry about the snake story. I don't know what I was thinking. Froggy doesn't like snake stories either. Are you still banned at Luci's?

      Happy National Ice Cream Day!
Love the ice cream recipes. Love recipes on You Tube too. Makes it so easy to cook when you can see how things are made. My favorite is Jamoca Almond Fudge from Baskin Robbins. I also eat a lot of hot fudge sundaes (with nuts) from MacDonalds a block away. I get tired of their hamburgers, but not yet tired of the sundaes.

  2. Hi Ya'll, did you survive your Monday? I did my four hours at food bank today. Bending and lifting and packing stuff into milk crates wears me out. Froggy made me lay on the sofa and watch TV all afternoon.

  4. Snakes terrify me, too. I suffered through that anaconda movie because hubs and our boy thought it was cool. On this morning's news, they said lots of bugs are coming into homes here because the ground is so soaked and the heat is so high. When I opened the door on my way to work, there was a huge worm wriggling at my feet. Came back inside, put plugs in all the drains. I had visions of coming home with a snake in my toilet bowl! Sometimes I scare myself. Better safe than sorry.

National Ice Cream Day! I buy a pint each of Haagen Dazs chocolate and coffee. Every single night, a spoonful of one then a spoonful of the other. That ice cream is expensive, but it tastes so good, and lasts 2 weeks.

Did I ever tell you about my 1st job? Dipping ice cream at a Baskin-Robbins store owned by my Aunt and Uncle. I was 15 and made myself sick eating so much ice cream. Took me over a decade to be able to enjoy ice cream again. Also love Cherry Garcia but Ben & Jerry irritate me so I don't buy it anymore. Jamoca Almond Fudge was my favorite when I worked there!

WOG, sorry you had to do so much physical work today. Glad Froggy made you take a siesta!

Back to the snake story WOG posted. I am fed up with people in positions of authority deciding what we will panic over or not. STOP IT. We are adults.

  5. Good Morning, Pond Family, Seems like this week is going so quickly. I am going to a job fair for the Goodwill this morning. Now wouldn't you think I could get a job at the Goodwill?

Surfie, it's too easy to get hooked on an ice cream flavor. Lately I've been craving Fudge Brownie. I love the brownie pieces. I love the chocolate. I love the ice cream!

Hi Phooey, Froggy says Hi to her Phoobers.

Seattle got cold, cloudy, and rainy yesterday. The weather here doesn't just slip gently from one season to the next. It just shuts off one, and goes on to the next. We had about 2-3 weeks of nice, warm days. Sure hope that we get a few more sunny days.

The news this morning said something about a plane missing on way to Algeria. Does anyone know more about this story? I'm afraid to fly any more.

  6. SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW...

'I know where your cat lives' site reveals privacy issues
    Jul 23rd 2014

A Florida State University professor has created a project that tracks your cat pictures and then figures out where that cat lives. Wait ... seriously?
It's called "I Know Where Your Cat Lives," and you can keep hitting the "Random Cat" button to find more real cats all over the world and their exact geographical locations.

    (snip)
Cameras often encode the latitude and longitude of where a picture was taken. Think about all the times you've taken a selfie, or took a shot of that awesome dinner you were about to divulge in. These pictures could very well also have a geolocation encoded in it.

  9. Hi Phoobers and Everyone!
I've been really bad lately; I can hardly use my hands anymore. My poor Phoo had a root canal. Give Ms. Page a kiss for me. I love your smooches! You never told me how your party went. Stay well and remember I love you too. You gals, tell me about all the cats.

  10. Gloria, how exiting to hear from you. We worry about our Ponders if you go missing too long! Been kinda slow this weekend. Everybody is busy or trying to keep cool. Seattle got it's summer back this week. It was delicious to have a few days of overcast and cold.

Both Froggy's computer and my computer have malware and adware and some annoying popups. Some words are highlighted and toss up an ad if the cursor goes over the word. I have been reading all day about how to fix things. But it might be more than I can figure out.
