    2. Hi Phooey. Glad to hear from you again. Hope you will be able to post more often.

I am trying to concentrate on my family and their needs along with our own health issues. The events that are taking place in our beloved country shock and sicken me. I can barely come up with the words to express my feelings.

    3. Dear Gloria, we know, we know and you are not alone however, this Scripture just came to mind and I know it was for YOU!

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

    4. Thank you Phooey for lifting our spirits. Actually just hearing from you lifts our spirits. Your test posts are posting just fine. Your Pond Ladies are so glad to hear from you!!!!! I always keep Froggy updated on our Pond Family. It will make her feel better to know that you are okay. You are okay, aren't you?

  2. Hi Gloria, you bring a special joy to our Pond. How's your family doing? We are here any time you want to talk.

I miss all of you...Paget, Eva, EC, Surfie too...Sorry that I just haven't had time to get some political stuff posted. But I guess we get enough of that on the news. Seems lately that everyone has been busy with family and doctors and babies and moving, and as Yul Bryner said..."Etcetera Etcetera..."

    1. You have a rather odd sense of humor, Pastor Phooey. A hernia - for giggles?

Thank you for the scripture. I like being reminded.

    2. Phooey...you are funny. I will take your "giggle" with me on the bus today. Will keep me smiling!

  4. Blogger just went wonkers and my post disappeared. Here we go again!

How are you doing, Froggy? Your deer friends hold you in our hearts! Please let us know.

Phooey, you are hilarious! Sorry about the hernia (ouch!). Thank you for the Scripture, which is my "go to" because I so often don't know how to pray for myself, others, the country, the world.

Gloria, dittos to what Wog said. You do bring a special joy to the Pond. Please stop by more often. We love hearing what's going on in your world.

Eva, t's a tricky thing: not being a lo-fo voter and keeping your sanity. The only way I maintain a happy outlook is to stay informed, but pay as much attention as the beautiful things in life as I do the ugly. Not easy.

The Engineer at my office owns a lot of rental property. I was looking for a moving company, and someone to buy used washer & dryer from. He helped me find both, for waaaaay below budget! I am so happy! I get the keys 8/3 (Monday), movers come 1st thing Friday (8/7). Don't know until tomorrow when the washer & dryer can be delivered. I can take some things over to the new place after work every day. I am SO HAPPY!

Moving is a lot of work. The last time I moved was from SoCal to OKC. Did that move by myself and am doing this move by myself. This move is a lot of work, but a whole lot easier than the last one.

I don't care about the work because I'm so happy about this move.

    1. YAY! If we have a Happy Surfie, we have a Happy Pond!

I just dropped by for a quick second or two. On way to bus to visit Sis. And then I didn't know what day it was. I thought it was the weekend, and tomorrow was Monday and I needed to have things ready for work.

Thank goodness for computers and calendars. I see on computer in the lower, right corner that it is 7/23/2015. Then I looked at calendar to see what day it is. I work 4 hours tomorrow and then it's the weekend. Who knew? I didn't know. Gotta go!

  5. And about Blogger's stupid "I am a robot" nonsense....what if I were a robot. I should be offended. I don't know how to get rid of it, but we Ponders don't need it.

  6. Wog, your calendar comment made me laugh out loud. Takes one to know one! How is our Frog doing?

  7. Good morning Deers. How are our Frog and Wog doing? Please chime in and let us know. Love you!

I'm getting ready for a funeral at 10am. My late big sister Susie has twins who are now 30. Their beloved Grandma Vera passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Vera was one of the rocks in their lives after Susie passed away. The whole family is getting together for a gravesite memorial, then doing what we and Vera love most ... hanging out together and eating way too much food.

Seriously, please say a prayer for Zach and Katie. This is very hard for them. Thank you, Deers.

  8. Stopping by quickly. Good to hear from you, Phooey. You've got a hernia? Quit lifting heavy things.

When will we get to the bottom of all this bad news? Is there a bottom? We're turning into a 3rd world country faster than I could ever have imagined Well, truthfully, I never imaged the country as 3rd world. Who would? It never occurred to me that such a thing could ever happen.

In my attempts to become a low information voter, I've started turning off talk radio after a couple of hours of listening to each show. I used to listen all day long, as I enjoyed every conservative's viewpoint. Now I just read a book or watch an old movie or old TV show. I try to do what you advise, Surfie, and make a point of appreciating the beautiful things in life. It just is harder than ever to find the good stuff now.

    Love to you all!!!

    1. Dear Eva, I was worried about you. Welcome home to the sanest site on the internet.

    2. Eva, I agree. Sometimes you have to step back, step away from the bad things. I try to do something enjoyable every night before bed. I like to listen to music off You Tube. I put on my headphones and listen to favorites...some from the 1940s, and some from our rock 'n' roll days. We sure had great music! I also do some online games like solitaire or mahjong.

  9. Hi Phooey, thanks for the compliments about this blog site. Froggy will be pleased that everyone feels safe and happy here. Remember Eva's advice..."Quit lifting heavy things."

  10. Good Morning, Ponders...the days go too quickly. Or should I say...the nights go too quickly. Seems like I just lay down, and now the sun is up and starting a very warm day. I'm not ready for anything. Think I will start in the kitchen. Maybe some toast and jam, or eggs and ham. How's everyone doing? Seattle had some hot days, then some cold days (yes, COLD days), and now it's hot again. That's Seattle! I have some things to do today, then off to see my wonderful, funny Sis. She always sends her love, and asks about each of you.

  11. Good evening, Deers. How is our Froggy doing? Love what Phooey said about The Pond. It sure is the sanest place on the internet that I've ever discovered. This blog is a blessing.

About breakfast, Wog. How about eggs and ham AND toast and jam? Sounds good to me!

My life is a whirlwind. It's a good whirlwind! Job is always intense, and I'm juggling that with moving. I had to create a spreadsheet to organize utility transfers, cable & internet transfers, movers, appliance deliveries, and on and on and on. Moving is a lot of work.

I am so excited! Get the keys on Wednesday 8/5 during my lunch hour. Can hardly wait until I get off work Wednesday to drive to my new place and really, really drink it in. Movers come Thursday 8/6. I took Thursday and Friday off work in order to get everything done and have plenty of time to unpack and get my new digs together (the fun part after the pain of the pre-move part).

I am still a high info voter. Still know every single day the outrageous corruption going on. That info is mixed with the current joy in my busy life. I have to both stay busy and pray a lot or will sink into overwhelm.

    Love you Deers!
