  1. Hi EC, We Ponders wanted to celebrate your special day! Enjoy every minute.

Had to put this up a day early because Froggy is back at hospital. It's that darn low blood sugar again. She will be fine, and she sends Birthday Love!

  4. Hi Pond Family...update on Froggy. First, I'm tired of sleeping in hospital chairs. Second, they finally got Froggy's sodium up to a reasonable level. I think they may send her to a rehab to get those legs ready for hopping. She sends her love to all of you, and sends special Love to EC for her Birthday.

  5. Happy Birthday to EC! Hugs and kisses. I think we should have a celebration at one of those pool bars. The ones you swim up to to get a nice tropical drink with a pineapple and an umbrella. It has been so darned hot for our area all I can think of is the beach and not the Washington beach but a real beach.

Oh deer Froggy, so sad that you are not feeling well.

  6. Late to the game as usual :). Happy belated birthday, EC. I sent up a few streamers in your honor. Oh, Froggy, we have to get you up and hopping consistently. Poor 'Wog will get all bent out of shape in those hospital chairs! Hope you're home now.

We're having trouble with our A/C. It leaked and now there are brown stains on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms (not to mention the not-so-nice smell of damp wood). The owners (who live in Florida) are furious with the contractor who was responsible for fixing the house after Hurricane Sandy. Not sure when the situation will be taken care of, but the contractor says "Go ahead and run the A/C. You can't do any more damage to the ceiling." I didn't tell the owners that. Gotta have it, though, because the humidity is horrendous.

I've just made plans to go down to Georgia for my great-nephew Isaac's 5th birthday. My, how time flies. Nikki sends me pictures each week of her baby bump. She's coming up to 20 weeks now. Getting past the 25 week mark will be a psychological boost. Speaking of the little guy who was born so early, Nathaniel is a real miracle. I was skyping with them yesterday and he is such a wonder. He can toddle for at least 5 steps without falling and his speech is getting better and better. I can hardly wait to see him in person again!

Bambu is sleeping the days away, but getting up to eat on his regular schedule. Nothing seems to interfere with his appetite. He's another wonder. 19 1/2 years and counting.

    Love to you all.

  7. Hope you had a wonderful birthday, EC. Leftovers are the best!

Deer Frog and Wog, how are things going?

Eva, I've backed out of 2 rental houses because the landlords couldn't show up on time or get the paperwork together on time. Made me worry about a maintenance problem with the house and if the landlord would take care of it on time. Great news about the family! Please keep us updated during your trip. And give little Nathaniel a kiss from his Pond Aunties!

I still have not found a place to move to. Don't know if the Almighty is teaching me patience or what. All I know is that I want a vintage house in a safe neighborhood, long-term.

My dear son has been blowing my phone up with pictures of his new apartment in Manhattan. He is so excited. I'm so excited for him! And very proud of him! He is driving from Berkeley to his new place on 7/24. You know where I will be going on vacation this year, after he gets settled. Yay!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Love you!

  8. Hi Gloria, Eva, Surfie...So much splendid news you all have. Baby Nathaniel and Nikki updates, the Amazing-Bambu update, Surfie's son moving to The Big Apple.

I managed to sneak away from hospital for a few hours. Waiting at apartment for Comcast tech guy to come put out TV/cable box together. I can't make it work. New TV and get only one channel. I had to sign up to HULU to watch a couple shows that I "couldn't miss."

Froggy is not happy anytime I leave. Hospital can't do anymore til Monday. They are looking for a rehab place. And I can't go visit every day like I did before. Next week I have to go to work everyday or AARP will need to put me in a different program. Also have my Jury Duty next week. Gotta run. Be safe and enjoy your summer.
