  1. Froggy showed me pic of Hillary as a witch, so I Googled it. Just for a few laughs, try it. So many pictures of The Hill as a witch.

I had day off today. Got so tired about 11am that I couldn't stay awake. Missed some of my fav TV shows. But I woke up in time for Judge Judy. Also made the spaghetti that Froggy's been asking for. Used Prego Chunky sauce and added tasty things. Came out okay. Froggy will give it thumbs up or down when she gets up from nap.

Surfie, hope that your week is going better. It's stressful enough just being an employee. Bosses get the real stress!

Are all our Ponder okay? The summer was miserably hot and humid, but not really looking forward to cold and rain and snow. The leaves are such pretty colors outside of our apartment window.

  2. Love the witch picture! I haven't had time to see what happened at the hearing today. I'm afraid the fix is in, Hillary will get off scotch free.

Spaghetti sounds wonderful. I also buy jarred pasta sauce and add my own fixings to kick it up. It really helps to make big batches of food and freeze individual portions. Cooking for one is pretty easy!

We had a massive rain season last Spring. It has been hot, dry, and windy since then. A huge rain storm moved into OKC today. We are having a very welcomed, steady and slow rain. It started around 11am and is still going on. Love it! I'm having a little something to eat and falling asleep with the sound of rain.

Job stress is off the charts. I scheduled off tomorrow a while back to go to the dentist and get a hair trim. Perfect Friday for me to step back, think about things, take care of things, and have a little fun.

Please pray for my company and me!

    1. Deer Surfie, sounds like you really, really need the couple days off to re-coup and re-group. Don't know if there is anything Ponders can suggest to help you...but we would if we could.

Love the rain too. But Seattle gets most of it during the cold days, so it's not that much fun. We've been getting a lot of fog lately. It's really neat when I look out window from the 29th floor of my job. Looks like the creepy Stephen King novel "The Mist." (I think.)

Late. Going to bed. Glad it will be Friday when I get up.

    1. Hello deer pond friends,

Today it really feels like fall! Overcast and 45 degrees. We turned the heat on for the first time yesterday.

Wog and Froggy, we don't get much rain over on this side of WA state, but I'm enjoying the leaves changing colors. (And didn't you love the game on Thursday! Go Hawks!)

Last Saturday we took a road trip to Medford, OR. It was an 8 hour drive south. We drove the super scenic route thanks to Google maps. I learned my lesson and will use another GPS system next time! However, we saw lots of beautiful countryside. As we were driving on the highway five deer crossed a ways ahead of us. Gorgeous animals! I guess elk season opened last week, so the hunters were out in full force.

We travelled to Medford for Jeff's Uncle's funeral. Uncle Don was only 82 when he passed, but he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease about two years ago. His body just shut down. His wife, Aunt Mary, is such a special lady, and we wanted to support her. The memorial was held in the Seventh Day Adventist church. They are mostly vegetarians. The dinner after the service was very interesting, as some of the food looked like meat, but was some other undistinguishable food item. However, the salads and desserts were delicious! The church members were so sweet and caring. One little old lady followed us around and told us her complete life story. She was quite a character.

Surfie, I hear you about work. I'm on the other end of the spectrum, as I'm just a worker bee. I pray that your situation improves. My job is becoming more tolerable as I'm adjusting to it. Things at my work aren't to my liking, but my prayer life sure has improved! I'm able to overlook things and look at them in a different light.

Thanks, Woggie for the picture of witch Hillary. I would prefer to change the W to a B, but I digress. Last night we watched a special on FOX with Brett Baier, about the Benghazi attack. It just amazes me that anyone still believes a word Obama or Hillary have to say. How can everyone be so blind?

Eva, I enjoyed your description of your plane ride with the kitten. How sweet!

Froggy, I hope you're feeling stronger these days! Phooey, it's always nice to read what you have to say. What happened to Gloria? I enjoy EC's comments too. Love to check in and catch up on everyone's lives.

Right now I need to get going and do my Saturday chores. Love to you all!

    2. Hi Phooey...Froggy always sends loveys back at ya. Do you watch all the NCIS? Such as NCIS: New Orleans or LA? Froggy likes to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. The evening is open for whatever we can find before we fall asleep. I doze off on the sofa a lot.

Deer Paget, wonderful to hear from you. I've never used the GPS on my travels, but I see them in the taxis. I could have used one traveling across Los Angeles. What a mess of freeways! I'm pretty good at map reading.

I'm a worker bee too. I was a boss for one night and everyone threatened to go home. I never tried it again. I have Weds and Thurs off this week. Taking Froggy to doctor on Thursday (nothing special. Doctor just keeps an eye on her.) but it's a real pain getting the transportation set up every month.

Haven't heard from Gloria or EC lately. EC hasn't been feeling too good. Think she needs a dose of Pond Prayers.

Love all of you. Be safe and stay happy. I think the clocks are changing this next weekend. Also Halloween and candy!

  4. I had so much fun watching the debate last night! How great was it to see the media put down? According to the tweeters, even other journalists were horrified by the cnbc moderators. Love that!

    1. Hi Eva, Yes, we watch everything. Also love he "reviews" and comments after the show. I've never been so interested in the debates before. Can't figure out what's different about this time.

      Love your post!
