Ponders know the right word ~ Christmas!

~We love our Christmas~

  1. Good Morning, Deer Ponders...It really annoys me when I am out and about, and people say , "Happy Holidays, Enjoy the Holiday." It's Christmas folks! We don't need to change a word of that greeting...not for anybody!

In the meantime, I only work Monday and Tuesday this week, and have five days off. I am happy about that. Same next week. Have to look for a couple things for Froggy that she wanted. And for our special meal, I am cooking my Thanksgiving stuffing. I'm determined to have that delicious meal every year. We didn't get it at Thanksgiving because Froggy was a at hospital. She seems so much better now, but has new medication to get used to.

I see a couple articles I want to post later today. One is Mother Teresa to become a Saint. How cool is that?

  2. Merry Christmas, Deer Ponders. Froggy, Wog, Eva, Phooey, Gloria, Paget, EC. Who am I forgetting? Love from my heart to all of yours!

So glad you have time off work, Wog. I'm off the rest of the week, too!

Mother Teresa becoming a saint makes me smile. I read somewhere that she fell ill, went into a brain-dead coma, then recovered. I'm not Catholic but think a miracle like that must happen to qualify for sainthood.

Can I tell my good family here something? I'm more happy this Christmas than I have been in 10 years. Hubby started getting sick 10 years ago, and I've been rah-rah-ing myself ever since. This year, I am truly happy.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Praise The Lord!

    Love you, Deers.

EC, don't know if you can read this, but we Ponders are praying for you. Come by whenever you can. We'll want to know that you are okay. The doctors can do amazing surgeries these days.

  3. Merry Christmas everyone. So glad you were able to drop by EC. I pray your sight will be restored.

Wog, I sent you an email with a pic of my youngest grand daughter as Mary in the church play. She had no lines to speak just hold the baby Jesus. The play is called Christmas at the Falafel House. Someday Paget and Eva will be posting pics of their little one too.

Surfie, it sounds like your life is getting exciting and Mike has found the right one. That is what I want for my son that he would find the right one and a forever marriage.

Froggy how are you doing? we don't hear much from you.

Phooey, Paget and Eva please have a wonderful Christmas.

  4. Merry Christmas to all our Deer Ponders. Froggy sends her Love and said she would like to hug each of you so that you know how much she cares. As sisters will do, Froggy wheedled and begged to open a Christmas gift today. She won! She wanted a set of colored pens, pencils and crayons...and some pretty color books with the animals and butterflies and flowers. She's a happy camper.

Tomorrow I will put the stuffing together and bake it in oven. We were at hospital a couple days at Thanksgiving. So we are a meal behind. Won't cook a whole turkey. Just a thigh or breast piece. Of course there will be extra nibbles...olives, cranberry sauce, pie, yams, brown and serve rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy.

    1. I have this hilarious picture in my mind of Froggy wheedling Wog to let her open up an early Christmas present! I read that the most popular gifts for adults this are year coloring books. Have a ton of fun Froggy. Can we see your masterpieces after they are finished? Hope so!

Wog, are you cooking up a storm today? Your menu sounds delicious. I'm sick as a dog, but will still swing by my sister's house tomorrow morning to drop off gifts for the new baby in the family. My plan is to put a chicken in the oven with some carrots and onions, make some potatoes and gravy.

I've been having so much fun with my son and future DIL via phone that it doesn't really matter how I feel physically. My heart is happy. They sent me a present and I promised to not open it Christmas. It's Christmas Eve, and I opened it! I know they scraped pennies together to send me a KindleHD8. Have no idea how to work it but know I'll have fun figuring it out.

      Merry Christmas, Deers!

  5. Thank you Dearest Paget; you always spoil us so terribly. I'm about to have a truffle, and the pears are one of my favorites. I love them. I have been so sick that I couldn't help with dinner. And Linda, at 75, was too tired to cook anything tonight. So your gift came in right on time. You are so thoughtful and loving. I hope Christmas Day breaks for you in a loving way all year. You always take care of us. Thank you so much.

  9. Merry Christmas Deer Pond Family, Froggy thought I might have offended some by my picture-headline. I hope not. It was meant to reflect that the government is always trying meddle in the people's business. It doesn't want us to greet each other with the word "Christmas." Thank you Democrats. When do the citizens get a turn to govern?

A better topic: I'm trying to cook us that stuffing dinner. I forgot how much work it is. Not difficult, just a lot of frying and drying and mixing and chopping. Will be tasty whenever I finish.

    Love you all.

  10. Finally getting a moment to chime in. I hope everyone had a glorious Christmas. I definitely ate too much as always. Tomorrow morning we're on the way to Georgia for a week. I can hardly wait to see the new baby and of course, my darling Isaac and miracle Nathaniel. We are so blessed this year!

Much love to my dear, deer Pond family
