Good Morning, Pond friends!

  1. Okay, a fun & crazy day it is. It's supposedly going to be 80 degrees today! Too sunny to stay indoors and watch football (other than the Georgia-Ga Tech game, of course). I think I'll bring Boomer to the living room rug for awhile. The sun is beating directly on it. It should be okay since he's already peed on the carpet in his room :/

  3. Happy noonish from OKC.

Froggy & Phoo, hope you two get some resst and feel better soon.

Eva, I saw the 80 degree forecast for the LA area. Is there a Santa Ana wind coming?

It's raining and howling wind here. I really don't want to get out but need a few things before Monday arrives.

Have a good day, Pond People!

  4. Eva, you are so funny--always a delight to read. We'll send some hip waders x3. Does Joe have the day off? GO UGA!

I'll be here when you're ready, Phoo, anytime! Get a good, rested start to your week... smOOch!

I'm feeling better and better, Surfie, after my little 'miracle'. Did you have a nice Thansgiving dinner? Ours was real low-key as 'Woggy worked so much overtime this week; I didn't want her to have to go to any trouble.

We decided to save major cooking for her Christmas (which is good because that's about all we'll have besides the book dear Paget sent ;-) We just ate from the hospital's diningroom spread across the street. We like the holidays just because they give us time together--that's the best gift of all! Now, I'm trying to learn about Hanukkah...

Don't take a cold! Thanks for being an 'OccuPonder! HAHAHAHA!

  5. Hello fellow ponders!

Our weather is back to normal and its just around 40 degrees. Eva, your 80 degrees sound so much better! ;)

Too many 'crazy' people were out shopping yesterday, so I will venture out today and hope some sanity has returned to the stores. ;)

The craziest thing that happened here recently was when two low-lives shot and killed a bald eagle in a rural area on Thanksgiving. :( The eagle was part of a nesting pair that had been in our area for several months. Unfortunately, the woman who witnessed the killing wasn't able to get the license plate of the idiot's truck, but I hope to God they are found and made to pay. Sorry to vent about birds, but our bald eagles are national treasures, and this makes me furious.

    On to happier things...

Froggy, so glad you're feeling better!

Phooey, hope you get your meds back on schedule soon. We miss your one-liners. ;)

Hi Surfie, nice to hear that you are getting settled in OKC. :)

I have to go out now and get rabbit food - my new diet starts tomorrow... ;)

Have a great day everyone! :)

  6. Hi everyone. Looks as if things are getting normalized now that the shopping frenzy is over for the time being. I stay at home.
It is wonderful to hear that Surfie is settling in to her new life. I am so happy for her.
Phooey and Froggy please rest so you can get better.
We moved fron So Cal to Washington state in '78 so the talk of 80 degree weather in November reminds me of Santa Ana winds too. That dry wind is miserable.
Well, I think I am going to make a new cranberry bread recipe and try to cat proof my house for the arrival of Peanut next Saturday.

  9. Phooey, Morning sickness? Have I missed something? Are you with child? Is this the miracle?

  11. Oh, that is sooooo funny.

Sometimes my sense of humor over takes my common sense.
