To Phooey and Paget (and all my friends here):

(Ribbet!)

Good morning, Ponders! I love you guys so much--especially my Phooey and Paget; I read the Klatch early this morning and saw the comments and ensuing rock-throw... (Oooooh! TweetyBirdscowl--"Sissy up now and she mad!" HAHAHAHAHA! )

Here is her post to Gerty, in case it gets removed:

"Not willing to take any more abuse and subjugation to exploitation"--HUH? Gerts, my sister Donal did not comment about YOU. As usual, YOU introduced the first nasty comment about HER. You've brought more negativity to the Klatch with your petty infighting than anyone else here--you think she didn't read your verbal snipes to me all the time? You think we don't all see them for ourselves? Just stop. My dear, as you profess to be nominally Christian, you need to step up your game!

Hi, Phooey--and yes I am still eating my peanutbutter and pickle sandwich!--Gerty's words do not hurt my sister. Gerty is not kind enough to hurt her; they are not on the same level. She sees an obvious impairment there and has much sympathy for it (she's sorry she did not recognize it sooner). She prays for Gerty everyday. Thank you and our dear Paget for your wonderful, brave support. We both loves ya!

P.S. Mrs. Cow, you needn't have to 'play the game' at all. You, too, could talk to the both of us on the phone; my sister would love to hear from you ;-)

I am so glad Kaniah is home and Magdalene is doing well; the news made Froggy smile. Have a great Thanksgiving all!

Yowza, she is wonderful, LOL! You know, I am so sorry I got involved in that whole mess--but it sure is nice for someone to have my back (and 'Woggy always has).  I don't go over there and read too much; it just makes me want to join in, and I guess I did enough of that, all the way 'round ;-) But I can't believe some of those gals just want to keep it up!

Sissy's right; I DO recognize some... um... difficulties going on with a couple of them--so I am sympathetic. There's a little too much feeling like a victim, feeling put upon--and there's some of that paranoid vibe going on... sigh. Such, I guess, is what we fall prey to as we get older. I hope despite the varying degrees of my health and medications that I can accurately, and more kindly, figure it out. My religion helps a lot!

I'm not immune from making too big a deal out of something, myself--because, in our house, everything was a big deal--but someone who is ill is ill  and someone whose capacities are diminishing is impaired. I don't know if Gerty always had an unkind heart, but for her and Straitpath, myMag and EC (an anyone else who may have enmity towards me) I always wanted to be friends, and I want them to know that, even if I lacked the ability to make it so. It does take two people with some minimum self-awareness. I hope I have that back; my illness has taken a lot away... and God only knows what's going to go next!

Thank you to all the understanding, great people that I know--I love you dearly, friends! I'm still capable of getting a mad-on and calling Gerty a Snipe--which she is--but I hope I can shrug a bit more of that off now that I'm not so involved. In the meantime, I'm not the only one Mama taught how to write, ha! 'Woggy can hold a stylish pen when she scrapes up the effort and I love her for it--now, I have to go and make her French toast!

  1. Good morning and peace, love, health and healing to all who come here. Especially our frog hostess. It is still dark as pitch here in Puget Sound.

  2. Gad, doncha hate the continual dark here? Once fall comes, it just slams down the door, and Sis leaves in darkness, and does about an hour of errands out there in the dark, after work--I worry about her, wish I could help her!

I was kinda concerned about your post the other day--you sounded kinda down. It's nice to see you here and twinkly! Do you have nice plans for Thanksgiving?

  3. EVA! How's our Boome doing? I'm worried about him (though I'm not shakin' hands with YOU anytime soon! HAHAHAHAHA!) Whatcha gonna do for the holiday?

  4. LOL! Don't worry, Froggy. I have hand sanitizer and baby wipes all over the house.

We don't want to go too far from the boys and I'm too cooking challenged to make a bird myself, so Joe & I are going to a nice nearby restaurant. Puffin & Bambu would love it if I cooked. Their favorite people food is turkey/chicken. It's hard for us to eat it at home since they have no table manners :)

Boomer seemed to be so much better yesterday. No accidents, lots of meowing and major league purring. That made me feel the best. He had stopped purring once we moved him. Maybe we've turned the corner now.

Love you and woggy so much! Who is doing the cooking for your Thanksgiving?

  5. I am trying to adopt a cat! Really . Today. More about that later. I have been sitting on the fence about it for along time.

  6. Let the cat sit on your fence, instead! LOL That's wonderful news! Tell us all about him, count all the little toes, and tell us if it's stri-ped, solid, or spotted!

  7. 'Woggy always cooks our turkey--it's the only damned thing she can cook! She's getting a turkey breast and we're making my recipe for dressing which she loves. I can't eat too much because of the salt, but a little goes a long way and--I'd rather have pie! LOL!

I'll eat turkey for Boomer; I remember how our cats at home loved it! Our little black VelVel used to jump on the table and lick the butter!

  8. Hi pond friends!

Froggy, are you feeling better? You sound like you are, talking about turkey dinner and all. :) You're making me hungry. ;)

Gloria, that is fantastic news! I work at a rescue in Kennewick, WA, and it always lifts my heart when one of our furry friends finds a home. Bless you!

By the way; it's snowing over here! I wasn't ready for that yet; beautiful to watch, terrible for driving! Hubby says he'll shop with me today, because he thinks I can't handle the snow. Funny, I told him I would be driving myself to work and back if it were a weekday. He is my knight in shining armour. :)

    Have a wonderful day!

  9. Snow already, Paget! Tomorrow I'm dragging my husband out to do some basic shopping (Christmas/Hanukkah cards, wrapping paper). It's about all he can handle. I love to window shop and he doesn't see the point in it. Typical guy, but my knight in shining armour, too. Have fun in the snow!

  10. Me again. Speaking of knights in shining armour: Phooey! How are you today? Taking a break from an overload of snarky females?

  11. Hi again,

Froggy, I just wanted to say a big 'Thank you' for your kind words. :)

Yes Eva, Phooey is most definitely a knightly fellow! He is a true gentleman. He jumps in and defends his friends. Phooey, you are the best! :)

Wog, that was a very thoughtful, heartfelt post you gave at the connection. You and Froggy both are talented and have a gift at expressing yourselves. It's got to be in the genes. :)

Love to everyone here. This feels like home. :D

  12. Snark, snark! LOL! Phooey's had his meds adjusted tthis week and it makes him awfully tired. I hope he's sleeping in!

And he IS a knight! ;-) He's been a dear, dear friend to me, and now he actually gotten Sissy to talk on the phone! I wish Mrs. Cow would ring us up...

  13. Hey. speaking of sending cards...Dayspring is a website that has a section of free e-cards for Hanukkah and Christmas. Go to the free section on their site. Action and musical. Sent one to my granddaughter this morn. I trust them and have used them a lot.

  14. Hey! cut it out guys! Simply got there first. Page has me catching up on chores again today. Try to come back soon.... later

  15. Thanks, Gloria. I'll go there as well.

Mrs. Cow wrote on the Klatch that she uses the telephone for emergencies mainly and very rarely for long distance calls. She also said something along the lines of having an email friendship with Gerty and sometimes her posts relate to that correspondence rather than the topic everyone else is reading. I think that was directed at Phooey's comment on playing games, but it was all very confusing.

  16. About the cat... not today. We have decided to adopt through Forget Me Not Shelter. Have to fill out an adoption app. They will be coming to North Bend in December. Hubby is having fun looking at the cute pics.

  17. Gloria,

Do you live in North Bend? What a pretty little town. :) Of course, we always stop at the outlet mall there on our treks back and forth to Anacortes.

Yes, our rescue group requires an adoption app. too. Glad you will get your kitty soon. :)

  18. Looking forward to name that cat when we have more details. Don't want to name a boy.... Sue!

  19. That's right, Phooey. Come on down and name that cat.

This is so weird. After being totally closed to the idea of having another pet we are now so looking forward to it.

  20. Paget, we are in Snohomish/Monroe. It is just rural enough.
