  1. Good Morning everyone. Let's go and spread a few warts today... just for fun.

  2. Some folks bring more in than could ever be found here... hi Phoo!

Eva--are my Russian words okay (see the wart thread)?

    Gloria--how's Peanut?!!!

    Hi, Paget, miss you!

I wish Roxe, Hikergal, TexTeaLady, 7genTexmom would post, but I suppose that's a lost cause...

  3. I haven't posted here or on the Connection in a while (moving, job hunting, apartment hunting, etc.) but I received great news last night and have to share it.

My son didn't think he could come for Christmas. His circumstances changed, and now he can come!!!!! Christmas is the last time I can see him before college graduation in May, and then he's moving to South Korea for 1-2 years to teach English.

I surrendered this whole thing to God over a month ago, and forced myself daily to shove the saddness aside so I could function. Lo and behold, God made it happen. What a miraculous surprise!

Love to all the Pond People.

  4. How wonderful for you, Surfie--I'm so happy for you! Is he bringing his fiance?

Now you'll have a truly happy Christmas!

  5. Yes, Liz is coming. Being from Korea, she is enthralled with the vast culture differences in the U.S. I can't wait to take her to the Cowboy Hall of Fame, Cattlemen's Cafe and Packing Town, the stores where Native Indians make jewelry and moccasins, an oil & gas drilling site, etc.

    Yippee!

  6. Oh Surfie, what a wonderful Christmas you're going to have! Definitely something to look forward to! Watching Liz take it all in will just add to the fun.

You know how long transitions take (even when you're transitioning to a place you know), so take your time. It'll all fall into place.

I'm thinking about you even when you aren't posting. You wouldn't believe how the winds were blowing last week. Some gusts in my part of the Valley were clocked at 97 mph. They were over 150 in the Angeles Forest. Yee haw! Luckily we didn't lose power.

  7. Froggy, I was going to comment on your Russian from the other thread. I'm impressed! Those are the correct words (as I remember them), but I never would have attempted the spelling.

Hope you're feeling good today. You might need to keep an eye on Phooey. He sounds as though he wants to get into trouble. ;-)

  8. Howdy do, folks. Just returned from another Drs. appt. New Dr. again. More blood work again. More appts. I am trying to finish as many as I can before the end of the year because in Jan my insurance changes.

Surfie, looks like you will be having a great Christmas with your son.

Peanut seems to be a good fit for us.

Will check back in in a while.

  9. Gloria, WE WANT CAT PICTURES!

Surfie--take Liz to Eureka Springs--it'll blow her mind!

  10. Froggy, I love Eureka Springs! We used to go there during summers when I was a kid. Given the weather and distance, I don't think we'll make it. Plenty to see here in OKC. MAN, this place has gotten real citified since I moved away back in 1985!

  11. It was just an idea.... We love it there and, driving from Denver, have been there twice. I don't guess I'll ever get to see it again... sigh.
