Good Morning! It looks like a snow globe here!

  1. The snow does cover up a lot and makes it all look pretty.

  2. How beautiful! I love that feeling of being inside a snowglobe. The news this morning says Seattle is in for it!

Gloria, I can just imagine Peanut slipping and sliding in the bathtub. You must be getting so much fun out of watching her!

Let's hear it for putting off dreaded procedures! I don't care what the excuse it, as long as there is one.

I never heard from the doc who was supposed to call Monday and tell me the results of my throat culture. With everything else going on with my car and going to the dentist, I let it slide. I know they didn't find anything, but they could at least make the call. I'm calling them as soon as they open today. Sheesh!

Then I have to call the auto dealership and get them to send the guy over to pick me up and bring me there to get my car. This better be the end of the car problems!

See ya'll later. Stay warm and inside.

  3. Gloria, downtown Seattle looks pretty quiet. We can see some of the streets. Very few cars. The buses go on snow routes. They can't get up the hills.

    Peanut. Peanut. Slipping and a-sliding.
    The Pond needs Peanut pictures.

Eva, so sorry that you are still sick. Whatever we all have just won't go away. Let us know that you are okay. You didn't need car problems on top of feeling bad.

  4. It's a winter wonderland out there! :) Beautiful, but so cold and a real drag for us commuters. :(

Snow started falling around 11:00 p.m. last night. On the drive in today, the car in front of me did a 360 and by the grace of God, I avoided hitting her! Geez! Hubby reminded me about using neutral, which I seem to forget year to year. That neutral gear has saved me many a time! So I was at work for 1 1/2 hrs, and the powers that be sent out a memo telling us we should go home at 11:00. Everyone at once...Not a prety picture with 8,000 hanford workers all on the snowy roads at the same time. Well, my friend and I remembered the last time this happened and how long it took us to reach home. Today we left at 10:30, and avoided the onslaught of traffic.

I got home and grabbed the snow shovel to make a little backyard path for the dog. Our Schnauzer, Kaiser attracts snow like a magnet, then he comes back inside and leaves little melted snow puddles everywhere.

Gloria, I remember reading that a fun toy for a cat is a pingpong ball in the bathtub. I think that might get out of hand! ;) Our cat loves the tub too. We have to close the bathroom door at night as he makes so much noise!

Okay everyone; get some rest, and I sure hope you all feel better soon!

  5. Paget, glad you got home in one piece! I didn't know about using neutral like that. Guess I'd better remember that when/if we make the move to the northeast. The last time I drove in weather like you're having, I got in my car early in the morning. My windshield was pretty frosty, but not something I thought I needed to use the scraper on. I started driving and decided to squirt windshield wiper fluid to clear it. Well, of course all that did was to obiterate my ENTIRE field of vision since the fluid froze on contact! I stopped dead in the middle of the road (luckily it was a side street and no-one else was on it). How embarrassing was that?

I remember, as a child, trying to put little boots and a sweater on our dog in the winter. My mother thought it would cut down on those little melted snow puddles. The first time, it worked. Afterwards, he just refused to stay still enough for us to "dress" him for his walks. In that case, my mother would end up with puddles of a different nature. She opted for the melted snow puddles.
