Good Morning, Pond Friends!

  1. Good morning! What's everyone doing today? I'm being my usual fascinating self: laundry, house cleaning, grocery shopping for next week.

Seriously, could I just win the lottery? I want to visit so many places just here in the Good Old USA! Manhattan, DC, Boston, Philly, Florida Keys, Mount Rushmore, Seattle!

    Oh, well, back to laundry.

    1. Hi Surfie... love your lists. At the top of my list is usually "nap." Must be on Froggy's to-do list too. She has had a couple naps today. I'm "saving" the laundry for tomorrow.

We stopped traveling when planes started blowing up. So travel around the U.S is good enough for us too. So many places we haven't seen.

  2. Good morning, all.

I want to win the lottery, too!

It's raining out and about 50 degrees. If I've planned correctly, I won't have to go out the door at all today. I'm pretty sure that the cats will sleep most of it. No sun for them.

I hope there's some good old movies on TV.

    1. Eva..You have such good kittys. Always doing what they are supposed to ...sleeping when it's sunny, sleeping when it's raining.

As far as old movies on TV in Seattle.. we have the worst TV today. Can't even find a crime show. A couple of our favorite channels have been usurped by basketball. We are big football fans at Froggy's house.

  3. Surfie, Your list is similar to mine. I would love to visit DC, Smithsonian and surrounding historical area. I guess I don't appreciate Seattle. Would love to go to Key West, and visit the Gulf. How about the Outer Banks? Atlantic Ocean?
One year we went from Washington to Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, through Wyoming (saw some of the battlefields), the Dakotas (saw Mt Rushmore and Deadwood) with a drive by of the Badlands and to Minnesota. This country is so vast and diverse. So much to see. I love the historical places. We squeezed a lot into 2 weeks. Nowadays I am so full of fear I am afraid to go very far.

    1. Gloria, You have been to some wonderful places. Froggy and I used to drive places out of Denver, but haven't been very far from Seattle.

From Denver we drove to Yellowstone, and stayed overnight at the lodge. Lots of wild animals (moose, deer, fox, furrry critters), and beautiful scenery. Would love to overnight into the backcountry. Of course, we saw Old Faithful, and many colorful hot springs.

One time we drove to Kansas, and then went straight down to New Orleans. (This was before the flood.) Another wonderful trip planned by TravelFroggy. Louisiana really is different from the rest of the country. They put Cajun spice on everything, so we ate a lot of strawberries and beignets (a delicious, yummy fried pastry.) These two items didn't have the Cajun spice! We stayed at the one hotel that is right on the Mississippi River. Could see all the barges, boats, paddle-wheelers from our window. The big Mississippi Queen came to town one day, playing the famous calliope. All very exciting.

Froggy also planned us a trip to the East Coast. But that's for another day.

Thank you Froggy for planning such wonderful trips.

    1. Hi Phooey, keep those doggys happy. Do you think this kind of pool table would be a big seller? Where do we get the cats to sit at each pocket?

  5. The other night I was on this blog and a little bug crawled across the side of the screen. Not a real bug a virtual or digital bug. It was weird. It crawled out and then it was gone.
Nothing but a cup of tea, really. (With a little Laudenam.) kidding

  6. For those of you in Washington, you can appreciate this weather today! It was rainy this morning, then I lay down for a nap. Thought it would be okay to hibernate on a rainy day. I woke up to snow! Big, fat, snow-globe flakes! Now, a couple hours later, the sun is out. Don't know how to dress to go outside.

Gloria, that virtual bug must have been a surprise. I haven't seen that one. Sometimes I accidently drag my mouse across something and get a surprise..but never a bug.
