Here we are!

  1. Awww ... what an adorable picture! Sister owls?

    How is everyone doing today?

I'm loving the rain (we need it), making chicken soup, have the Law & Order marathon on TV for background noise.

Geez, I can be really boring sometimes! What are you Ponders doing today?

  2. I am off to church this morning. I am trying to create a good habit pattern for myself. I got into a real slump through winter. Corned Beef going into the crock pot for DH today.
    I will check in later.

    Love you Ponders!!

  3. Now, you gals are making me hungry! Surfie, I hope you don't consider that boring because the minute you said 'Law & Order marathon, the first thing I thought was 'oh goody!' And I would love to be making my mother's boiled dinner/cabbage soup thing! LOL I felt somewhat better today though they only gave me a few muscle relaxants--and I'm out now--so I hope the good feelings continue. 'Woggy is roaring her APAP machine behind me, so she'll be up in a bit... Sounds cozy at your house! (But you need an oinge tabby cat--a nice boycat!)

Gloria--I applaud your ability to make good habit for yourself. You seem to have had some extra stress this winter and I think you're right. Changing what you do and getting into something positive--or even just a distraction--can help a lot. Since the Internet is about the only thing I can do, it's my positive activity for all the aches and pains that wander in here. You gals and Sir Phoo certainly keep my spirits up! What's Princess Peanut doing? I need a cat report! Geez, I love corned beef!

Lemmee pry Her 'Wogness out of bed... Where's Phoo?

  4. Uh-oh! Maybe we're ALL boring. I've got Law & Order on in the background while I'm making a big batch of spaghetti sauce.

Oooh, Froggy, muscle relaxants. They're fun. It's fascinating to me how I'm positive I can't move and then after taking a pill, I can. It's probably the pain factor, but I'd swear that before the pill kicks in, my body just won't move.

I've been reading about the benefits of lemon juice lately. I'm going to try drinking a couple of glasses of warm water and lemon juice every day. Supposedly, it takes care of every problem from digestive upsets to obesity. If I stop having heartburn and lose 10 pounds without dieting, I'll let you all know. :)

  5. I love lemons! Have spent my entire life cutting a lemon in half, salting it, and eating it. Everyone told me it would destroy the enamel on my teeth ... but every time I have my teeth cleaned, the dentist is amazed at how strong my enamel is. Go figure.

When I feel like I'm getting sick, I squeeze the juice of a whole lemon into a mug of warm water and down it.

One thing I miss about SoCal is a neighbor had a lemon tree and let me pick the whole crop all day, any day. I used to have bowls of lemons in my house! I really don't like having to pay for lemons. Or avocados. Also had a neighbor with an awesome avocado tree. She didn't like avocados, so I got them all!

  6. Now you all are talking about spaghetti and guacamole--yum! We're Foodies! So are those cats--Eva, how are the boys doing? 'Woggy went out for hamburgers--she's the type that has to get out of the house for a bit everyday--so I told her to scoot. I just finished William Murray's book about his family Madalyn Murray O'Hair. Interesting book--I had no idea there was such a communist cell in Honolulu in the late fifties/early '60's...
