Happy Sunday, friends... I want spring!!!

  1. Hi Folks,

I'm sorry to be AWOL last week, but things haven't been good here--and 'Woggy and I had to talk over some plans and the future. I was in Urgent Care over my back, and couldn't see my doctor on Thursday, so I've had to do a lot of resting, no help for it. I've missed you all!

As 'Wog and I were waiting in UG, we wryly joked that, if this is bad, what must Obamacare be like--and then I realized that I already AM in Obamacare; I use Medicaid and much of my care has been as good as transferred over.

The difference in care I've received from last year has been a terrible shock to me, so I've spent some time coming up with some strategies with which to deal with it--which I'll tell you about later--in case this terrible health system is implemented. The thing is, it already HAS slithered into gov run medicine--and your chances of being able to keep your own health insurance is getting quite chancy. If any of you are vets, are on Medicaid, or will be on Medicare, like 'Woggy, this will affect you.

I've been having a terrible panic attack over the whole thing--my anxiety at night has been so awful, I can't sleep. Please bear with me as I try to get myself together this week... How's everybody doing?

    1. Frog dear, I know, I know! It was the same with me and Page. Hopefully, tonight we will have better rest.

  2. Now Froggy's laying down and The WOGster is up. Very quiet in the home when Froggy is not here. Poor Froggy. It's hard to keep her from jumping up and down and hopping all around. She worries so much about what our beautiful country is losing.

We are stuck with whatever the O-president changes. I don't know if the Republicans get control of the government, if they can change anything back, or if they can slow the spending. Socialists change things slowly and tighten the thumb screws slowly hoping that no one will notice... and that it's such a tiny change, no one will bother to object. Well, we noticed, and we object!

  3. Speaking of Spring...
Even though Seattle is having rain and snow and rain, I did see a Robin hopping along outside our apartment building a few days ago. So Spring is on the way!

  4. Hello all you dear pond people!

Froggy, I sure hope you feel better soon! I've heard a few shocking stories from friends who have relatives on medicare and yes, they are feeling the effects of Obama care already. :( Then I think of all I know who are still supporting this president, and they just are so uninformed! They are the ones who think I'm over-reacting when I point out these facts to them.

Onto a more cheery subject... Last weekend, my parents went to see some snowy owls that were reported to be a few miles from my house. They were up in the "hills" and were quite a sight to see! From what I've heard, these arctic owls have been showing up all around the country this year, and normally they don't venture this far south. I guess the owl population is booming. :)

Wog, I see signs of spring over here too. Blossoms on the trees, and the grass is starting to grow again. It's renewal, and it always gives me hope. :)

I better get going. Chores to do, you know!

I hope all you pond people have a wonderful week!

    Love to you all! :)

    1. Hi Paget.. I just read up on the Snowy Owl. Hundreds came south when their food supply of lemmings dropped. I don't know what they eat down here. Maybe mice. Most people never see a Snowy Owl, so if you get a chance, go see them. Tell them that the Pond People love them!

  5. Dearest Froggy, it's my most fervent hope and prayer that your health troubles are eased. The physical effects are bad enough without the mental anxiety you go through when you think of what our Country's health care has become. I'll bet there has been quite a step up in hospital urgent care visits due to this anxiety exacerbating whatever physical problem there was in the first place. I try to keep my perspective and optimism, but I know it's getting more difficult. I think we're on the edge now. If Obama is re-elected, I guess we'll all just see each other on the other side.
